This one gives me the chills, unless it's just post-ME1. The N7 hoodie suggests post-ME3 and I had a hard time with that kind of ending.

dmc1001 your posts always make me want to play Mass Effect 3 again. As well you should. Also, there's fanfic out there that shows post-war family life. Love reading that stuff.

"Kaidan Alenko and Steve Cortez, a Rare Pair for KPW. AU where Shepard stays dead and Spectre Kaidan Alenko takes up leadership in the fight, first against collectors, and now against Reapers. Steve Cortez grieves the death of his husband, killed at the hands of the Collectors. Kaidan’s been there himself. Kaidan knows what it’s like to lose the one he loves."
I thought this was really sweet. Steve doesn't get enough love.

Steve isn't a squadmate, which makes him lose points. I also feel like a creep trying to romance a guy who's still crying over his dead husband. This, though, makes some sense. Two grieving guys getting together is something completely different. No one is in the [theoretically] predator role.

Yeah, I love Steve (for all his limited characterization - I notice a trend here...), but Shepard just really feels uncomfortable at best in his romance, basically helping Steve move on from his dead husband to move into the role himself... It's just not my cup of tea. Still, I'm happy about Steve getting a storyline that actually does treat his grieving fairly evenhanded without making it about him being a gay man. And I'd agree, in a world where Shepard is truly dead after ME3, or even just in a state where Shepard isn't romancing Kaidan, he'd be a good match with Kaidan.

I thought this was really sweet. Steve doesn't get enough love. I choose Synthesis, so it's pretty much my canon that they end up together (and also did the devil's tango with Shepard maybe, I'm still not sure how to work my ME3 canon around it without letting Shepard die an unromanced virgin). But there's so little art of them, basically what you posted and this It's crazy, they'd be perfect together.

There's no world in which a) I choose Synthesis and, more importantly, b) mShenko doesn't get a happily-ever-after.

Even if John was doomed in all three endings, Destroy is the only option for me. Thank the devs it's the one ending he lives, because my guys deserve their happy ending, dammit!

I can work with Destroy and on occasion Control (I tend to see it as Shepard, woozy from blood loss, goes towards the blue light because blue = Kaidan in his mind). But yeah... Synthesis is space magic, has way way way WAY too many unanswered (and unanswerable) questions about it... I don't care how nicely it gets presented in the game, I will never take it.

Love seeing them hug on the Normandy. That is way better than any sex scene.
