Share your Shepards and Ryders

As you wish! Though these aren't new, they're just variations of my current Sara that I was playing around with to see what I liked for a new playthrough.

Couldn't find anywhere to get good close-ups on the Tempest quickly, but you can always right click on one to see it larger.

Here's my attempt to give her freckles, since that was my Plan A.


Here she is with default Sara's face texture/complexion.


So I sort of just decided to keep her how she was, but with the paler tone I originally wanted. So here she is with that (previously it was as light as it could go; one level above now). Oh, and I was experimenting with scars, too.

Compared to:

She looks almost dead, sort of drained of life. Vampiric. Especially with the injury and new shiny black hair, because it doesn't look natural.

But at the same time I kind of like it

I know, not a huge difference, but there isn't supposed to be. I just wish they didn't freaking mess up the hair, I'll never get to see my character how I wanted to exactly

What do you all think? Scars, good or bad? Too pale?

And I used that scene to get a comparison because I knew I already had shots there to compare and because it has really good lighting, no other reason, nope

Cute, I'm so glad they added freckles! Even if it's a bit redder than I was hoping for. But I've already seen it look good on other characters.

Black Saras can finally have an afro, yay! Though unfortunately I find Liam's hair looks a lot worse with the new textures.

Also I feel you on naming, I'm terribly unoriginal when it comes to custom names

Technically, yours is Heleus Champion (Ranks 1-2 are Heleus Defender, 3-4 are Heleus Champion, and 5-10 are Heleus Icon).

Anyway, I think it's one of the better armours in the game even if I'm not a fan of how bulky it is at higher levels (and how it makes Sara look like she's binding her breasts). The purple colours (which you can't replicate with custom colours), purple visor and purple pulsating lights are pretty sweet (so much purple, I think Kestrel's character needs to wear it  ).

And yeah, it has an Archon basketball hoop at higher levels, which looks fairly ridiculous and seems like it would be very impractical 

Considering the armour is apparently a conglomeration of MW, Heleus, and Remnant tech, I think it looking like the Archon's hoop is no coincidence.

I agree, it's awesome to hear characters (especially in a romance) say it. Makes it much less awkward than saying your last name (even if them saying Ryder sounds like saying a first name because it's my first name, lol).

That is weird, ha. I always liked the name Sara(h), but Sera almost ruined it for me. For some reason it being spelled differently each time makes it seem different enough not to bother me though.

Aww, now that you mention is I think I remember you saying that in the Sara Ryder thread a few months ago. Or I'm going crazy and making false memories. Either way, sorry to hear that, glad you can change it

And Wren is an awesome name! My ex's Elfquisitor was called Wren!

So I have to say I like having the hairstyles open to all, I really like some of the short hair options on the female Ryder.

Preset 3 was improved a lot, but I still despise her eyebrows. Preset 10 is lovely, but I wish I could mess with the nose and jowls more. And why can't we change eyebrow colour?? Gaaahhh.

But I like Odessa, she was fun to create. Looks about 16 instead of 22 though, lol.

So, I dusted off my copy of ME:A and downloaded the two recent patches. Made some tweaks to my Sara and I really love that fRyders can now rock some nice short hairstyles.



This is my 2nd semi-abandoned run, might as well see out this Vetra playthrough now.

Question; is the alternative lounge wear only available at the start of a new game? Or is it only available to those who have a special edition version of this game? I own the basic bitch version.

The reason we can't change eyebrow shape is because they had his marvelous "face-scan" idea wherein the texture of each preset includes complexion, makeup (in new default Sara's case) and eyebrow shape. They didn't think to make it a separate category, which is why changing "complexion" changes eyebrow shape - you're loading a different preset's face texture onto your own preset's head.

This is so convoluted, why the heck couldn't they have made a normal CC? Or ported DA:I's since it was on the same engine?

As far as eyebrow colour goes, I assumed you couldn't change it for the same reason but see below:

That's very interesting... Well there's absolutely no excuse for not letting Sara change colour as well and for Scott changing it separately from facial hair.

And they fixed it so you can pick up your special deliveries anytime now, but yeah, the hoodie and "Athletic" outfits are Deluxe Edition only.
