I didn't catch the stream live. After seeing the general reaction here, I'm just looking up the highlights; no reason to sit through three EA Sports presentations to get to the good stuff. I'm really, really peeved about no local coop on PC, but that aside - Battlefront II looks really solid, and I'm excited to see more of it. Fingers crossed that some of the old chatter from the original SWBF2 will make it in - "Watch out for those wrist rockets!" A Way Out looks really interesting, but...gimmicky? SEED - a new EA Division  SEED you say?  real robot genre mecha rpg pls biowur
Now I want to brainstorm what a mecha rpg would look like. ...it looked really meh and it's not innovative this WALL IDEA IS OVERUSED GET OVER IT I understand why walls are common in speculative fiction - they establish a physical border between the "mundane, safe world" and the "fantastical, dangerous world," and they imply that the characters' home is in danger of being attacked. The thing is, you can accomplish that without needing a Wall TM; I'd like to see a story where the thing separating the two worlds is a trench, or the characters' home is on top of a big plateau high above the dangerous area, or they're underwater or on an alien world with toxic air, and The Wall TM is a big ol' dome that's keeping the air in. Just straight up sticking a bog standard Wall TM in your setting is really derivative at this point. Thoughts and expectations for Microsoft and Bethesda tomorrow? Not gonna lie I'm curious about the Scorpio. I'm curious to see how they intend to support games for both the Scorpio and the One, given that the Scorpio is apparently significantly more powerful. Maybe it's going to end up like that awkward transition phase from the 360 to the One? I've said it before, but my predictions for Bethesda's two "mystery announcements" are Wolfenstein: The New Colossus and The Evil Within 2. I'd warn against getting excited about Starfield. |

Well Microsoft did promise before that all games that come out on Scorpio will also come out the normal Xbox one, shared across all versions of the console. Still, they might not do that after all because big corporations are usually lying bastards. |

Hey, at least Anthem had a female VO for their teaser, so I can be that much more crushed when they only ever show a male character in trailers and only release a clip showing a woman PC after the game actually drops as an 'alternate' trailer. ;D  Y U HAVE TO MAKE ME ANGRY KESTREL? You're great though. This topic just makes me SA ANGREH  "freelancer" sounds like a loner imo. You can't disappoint people with romances if you don't even have companions.  I made myself sad. *Frustrated disappointed noises* You guys are being unfair, your companions are your friends, you can flirt with them on voice chat and the mechs have animations inside! you just do not see it. (rofl) It does, and the right one looks like an Angara or a Quarian. that's where the Quarians went to they took a wrong turn and ended up in a different franchise So that's why they were sending out a distress signal to stay away! I mean the design feels a bit "been there, done that" which isnt really good if you wanna be the NEW BOB DYLAN OF GAMING, THE ANTHEM TMLike.. destiny exist and because I never cared for it I can be mildly interested in Destiny two, because, hey at least they werent part of the studio that had their heads crammed so far um their...anthem that they overlooked their new substudio breaking apart under a massive load..They would've needed help far earlier, but this shit was more important?
I'm feeling resentment because they chose to ignore and fuck over the series that cemented my love of gaming and sci fi even more for some shit that just feels uninteresting to me.. someone in the other BSN said it nicely..

well and the fact that they pulled people from games I do care about (ME is my fucking love..I never was really the fantasy person) and butchering a studio that suffered from mismanagement avoidable if they just had FUCKING LOOKED OUT FOR EACH OTHER LIKE THEY ALWAYS PREACH IN THEIR GAMES..
this wouldn't have happened.
also schreier wrote a story DLC is really quite unlikely because montreal isnt gutted, its gone.
and if its gone for that shit, then "anthemtm" will forever have the rotten stench of being the shitty game that was more important to the studio that every game I love about..
and that smell doesn't go away easily.
but hey, maybe they surprise me and the online game with its focus on coop (I hate most humans. I game because I dont have friends. I am content with that.) will not have
