False alarm. As soon as I finished the treason mission he was reciting poetry to me, so the no fail mod does work as intended. Now the question becomes is who do you kiss at the end of the game, or do all 3 to 4 of them have their own scene? That would quite a pacing brake. Well, I'm at the start of Act 3 with all side quests finished, so I guess I'll find out soon. I'm guessing he'll just get four smooches, though.

Sounds interesting. Lets know how it works out. Kurt overrode Aphra completely during the goodbye. Siora got the mention before the kiss, but the Vasco got the kiss. And then Kurt overrode everyone in the ending slides. But then I reloaded and took the Constantin ending this time. I low-key love the idea of De Sardet banging all four of them and then betraying them to become a god lol.

Okay so I'm gonna try not to peek around in here to much to avoid spoilers but I just have this one question, is this one of those games that no matter what I'm gonna loose companions? Can I keep everyone or at some point do I have to choose between them?

Can I keep everyone or at some point do I have to choose between them? Only one of the companions can be lost to my knowledge, and it involves not doing his personal quest early enough. So you should be fine.

Yeah, aside from the one character who needs you to basically do their personal quest ASAP, even pissing off all the leaders of the factions won't lose you any companions.

Okay okay I'm super sorry but I have another question! Is it possible to accidentally lock yourself out of a romance chance?

I sorta wish there were things that could make a romance dump you in Bioware games

I sorta wish there were things that could make a romance dump you in Bioware games Well, there are some if memory serves me. I mean if you defile the ashes in origins I think it's a deal breaker for lelianna (correct me if I'm wrong. ) Also, you can lock yourself out of Jaal's romance if you blow up the exhaltation facility and kill Akksul. So that's something I guess. There might be more, but at least I remembered a thing (just woke up!)

Yeah it's definitely a deal breaker for Leliana if you defile the ashes considering she attacks you. XD Not sure about others dumping other than Jaal like Lee said, but I know some can betray you under certain circumstances and either they just leave or you're forced to kill them. Zevran, Isabela, Fenris. They either attempt to kill you if their influence isn't high enough (Zevran) and certain choices are made (Fenris) or outright leave (Isabela.) Alistair will also straight up leave and dump your ass if you try and keep Loghain with you. (idk if him being hardened changes it, I don't think it does?) Sebastian will dump a romanced Hawke if you don't kill Anders. Bull will also try and kill you during Trespasser if you sacrificed the Chargers. And then in ME:3 Ashley-Kaidan can attempt to kill you during the Coup if you've not done enough to gain their trust. Not sure about anyone else, my memory is foggy, and the only ones I've had happen to me personally were the Isabela and Fenris ones. Huh... guess it's more about trying to kill you than just dumping you, that's worse.

Actually....Leliana will still love you even if you defile the ashes...as long as she isn't with you! It's funny because she's very angry with you but in the very next conversation she goes back to loving you as if nothing happened! I played on PS3 so no mods involved! From the sounds of it....Greedfall doesn't have a very good romance system. I can't understand why they did it that way when it was very obvious in Technomaner what was/wasn't the romance path.

I don't get it either. I feel like the romances were seriously rushed in Greedfall. I mean clearly they didn't put any effort into the bisexual male romance when it comes to the animation. It's the same exact animation as what we got in Technomancer-which was jarring in that game, but appalling in Greedfall when all the other 3 romances were properly animated.

Worse even - the little handhold had significance in Technomancer, considering that it was with Andrew's prosthetic, so it speaks to how Zachariah doesn't see it as a flaw or something that he believes he is loving Andrew "in spite" of, that Zachariah sees it as a part of him and something just as deserving as love as the rest of him. But between de Sardet and Vasco, it has no meaning, it's a gesture done with significance while having no relevance.

I finished up the game this morning before work and idk how I feel about it. I still love some of the boss designs to pieces but I'm gonna need some time ta think on this game. May go through it again and try to get some more achievements.

I'd like to note though, frick the Bridge Alliance. I legit never thought I would side with the religious faction over the science faction, but SERIOUSLY.
I bottomed out my approval with the Bridge Alliance, while every other faction was friendly and joined in on the final battle, and I greatly enjoyed the epilogue slide that effectively said "everyone else shunned the Alliance, going 'dude, what the fuck?' after their refusal to help."

I had all the factions on my side in both runs. I'm a sucker for reform and peace stories. (I do enjoy seeing that scientist get hanged in the end though...which is odd given I'm against capital punishment in real life...but there you go.)

Yeah, I just straight up killed him - not fond of summary execution, but based on everything that I had seen to that point, I legit thought that arresting him would lead to him getting a slap on the wrist at most and being released to continue his horrors.

Understandable, I am quite certain I was using a guide so I knew how it would go. Everyone in the threads made me nervous before going in about how easy it was to mess up romances-so I was over cautious.
