Bioware done him wrong. If Reyes has been a squad mate I'd be a lot less mad. Like, I'd still be mad because we'd still have less options than everyone else and we still wouldn't have an alien, but Reyes was one of the only interesting people in that entire game and he deserved more.

Even a "Ryder Rides Reyes" mod? I think there are ways that the relationship with Reyes could be developed further. Like, maybe it starts as a fling but in dlc or MEA2 you'd have the option to make it more substantial. Heck, BioWare could even leave in the dual romancing that we have now and allow Ryder to make a choice.

I mean, if he was a full squadmate/LI in ME:A2, then maybe the sequel would be a good game, but it wouldn't really save ME:A. I won't lie, a DLC with major Reyes content, like temp squad + romance scenes, would definitely tempt me to actually buy the stupid DLC. lol I do love Reyes and would like to see more content for him, however we get it. I'm still salty af that he wasn't given better treatment in the base game, though.

Yeah, the base game would take a lot of work to fix. I don't know if it's even possible. They most certainly will not put the effort it would take into the process. They'll try to sell a dlc or two then move on.

My biggest fear is that trusting Reyes will hurt us someday. /)___(\ Hopefully not. He is my big MEA love and fight with Garrus for the first place in my 'fav mass effect character List'.

I seriously doubt they will make Reyes betray us ever. Though I also seriously doubt we'll have a sequel that features him in any significant way either. sigh...

Having only one of two light m/m romances betray you no matter what in the sequel would be a huge dick move. Bioware really needs to start putting the big LI betrayal/shock moments on some female characters, anyway. I'm getting really tired of this always going to male LIs. In DA:I, Cullen and Dorian were the only male LIs that couldn't totally fuck you over. Iron Bull can try to kill you with no indication that would happen in the base game. Blackwall lies to you for most of the game and then bails. Solas.. lol. Oh, Solas.

Reyes is among the most popular romances for men and women. People like him so that may be reason enough to bring him back. Plus, since Reyes survives regardless of your choice of leadership, it could work out.

Plus, since Reyes survives regardless of your choice of leadership, it could work out. If they do a sequel, I could see Reyes being a squadmate, because he was well received with all audiences. A lot of straight guys even liked him, both as a character and a romance. He's more popular than Liam as an LI for women in most polls I've seen. The #MakeReyesASquadmate campaign was started by Biofan and had a lot of support from straight women and gay/bi men. Bioware acknowledged screwing the m/m options and this would be an easy way to offer at least one squadmate next game. I mean, that assuming there is a sequel and it even features Ryder as a PC, which is in question since ME:A performed so poorly.

But the Squadmate would only work if you don't side with Sloane. Don't think he would work with you after you shot him in the shoulder. :'D

But the Squadmate would only work if you don't side with Sloane. Don't think he would work with you after you shot him in the shoulder. :'D I think he would, tbh. Reyes is incredibly pragmatic. If you don't shoot him and side against him, he's still pretty civil in the mail he sends. If you do shoot him and romanced him, he'll joke about having a scar to remember you by. I'm sure they could come up with a reason for you to work together, if he had information you needed. You have influence and connections as Pathfinder that can benefit him. It might work for the story for him to start with higher or lower approval/cooperation depending on what you did before. Maybe if you did shoot him, he'll betray you at some point, but if you sided with him he'll be loyal. I don't think this is a dealbreaker. I think they could make it interesting if they played it right.
