There's also at least one quest that only appears if you are in the right area at night. I forget which one. The game is weird sometimes. If I'm trying to get to level 50 I pull up a list of all the gigs and see what I've missed.

Huh, I see. I don't think I've ever stumbled across it. I know that the Prophet guy's quest marker doesn't appear very often for me, I've never 'finished' his story where you have the Nomad's confront him, I only even found out about it recently - I generally fast travel straight from the Apartment dataterm so it's only if I go visit Misty, or Vik I might stumble across him because then I exit the apartment normally. (Not that I visit very often generally.) I'll have to try that this playthrough - I already plan to try and get all the weapons for the Stash Wall on this character because it's rather in character for him to do so. (I'm just waiting to get that dumb quest you need to look at your computer's net for in the apartment so I can finally use the apartment mod I want for my guy.) But yeah I imagine I may have missed more things despite doing everything that appeared on the map already - but if you need to enter a certain zone to trigger something or get to a certain area to trigger it I may have missed it. Despite all my exploration on my first character I never unlocked all the fast travel areas so I'm clearly missing something. (I'm determined to do that one day but will likely reload that character rather than do it on a brand new one.) I have also finally (mostly) figured out the CinematicDoF Shader for my Reshade. I still can't quite get the Bokeh effect I want but I am making progress. It helps me to throw a bunch of props together for a background then blur it so it all fits better. I love the holo blossoms but they do look kinda ugly up close without the blurring. Also helps to find an area already with a decent background that you can 'add' to.

Damn your v looks great, and your photo skills amazing!
I decided to use my nvidia performance monitor (Alt + r, but I had to remove a mod that conflicts with any overlay) cause the task manager readings seemed bizarre. Anyway, my cpu according to that was like 20% and my GPU was in the 90s, which is the same as my ultra modded Skyrim. Made way more sense for me at least. But I did play for a long time with that up, pretty good FPS performance. I did crash several times, but only in inventories when GPU dropped anyways. I don’t get this game though still though when it comes to performance but at least for me it seems less unbelievable.

Thank you. Vitor is becoming my guinea pig as I learn the DoF shader. Also the apartment decor mods make for some really nice backgrounds when I don't feel like slaving away for ages to make my own. Instead I just have to play with the lighting tool because the complexion mod I use for him makes his face so much darker than his hands for some reason. (He's skin tone 1 but he looks like he has a really good tan on his face for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I also really wish the game had a photo mode for showing off Mantis Blades. I think I must have spent well over an hour messing around to try and get decent pictures. Right now I use MSI Afterburner, initially to keep an eye on my cpu/gpu but now I use it for when I want to take pictures using my DoF shader because photo mode doesn't capture the image with it (as I found out the hard way.) My fps never drops below 80-90 usually, sometimes I will get a random slow down out of nowhere, and I still do get crashes. I always know it's coming because my fans in my computer will just stop all of a sudden and then the game will crash. I still don't know why, so at this point I figure it's just the game as I don't have the issue in any other game so far.

I finished the Devil ending on my Corpo V. I cried. A lot. I cry again if I think about it for too long. I... probably enjoyed the quests of it far more than I did the Star ending quests and whilst the secret ending Suicide assault on Arasaka was cool, I just... really liked the quests during the Devil run. Having Takemura stick up for me against Hellman, having his (and Oda's) help during combat segments was really nice, and ya know, it's the only ending where Takemura survives. More than ever I am convinced Yorinobu knew his father planned to body swap him... that plot was kinda fucked up but interesting. I was surprised Saburo admitted what happened, I kinda expected him to stay in Yori's body and pretend to the outside world that he was Yori. Him admitting it was a curious thing, as was making peace with Militech. The space station part was fucked up. Johnny, and Jackie showing up, going through all the exams, Takemura showing up to give me the offer... and then my poor V accepting the Engram offer at the end. That cutscene... I cried through the entire thing, I haven't cried at a video game anywhere near this hard since I did (one) Control ending in ME3. But Takemura saying they'll meet again (hopefully) and that he'll show my V around Japan and that they'll get proper food... *Sobs.* It was really good. And I know the Devil ending is supposed to be 'bad' and the ending you get if you just ignore all side quests but idk I really liked it, it fit this V perfectly honestly. It being open ended means unless we get dlc that tackles the endings or a second Cyberpunk game, then as far as I'm concerned Hanako and Co keep their word and eventually find my V a body and he comes back and he and Takemura get to live happily ever after working for Arasaka... because honestly, my V would be more than happy to go back to working for them despite everything because it is all he ever wanted from the moment he got fired. One thing that did make me roll my eyes was Johnny just bitching about me making this choice and how I had 'betrayed myself' like... dude, he hated you and all he ever wanted was to get back to Arasaka, he hasn't betrayed shit. Misty bitched at him before he left, Vik couldn't get rid of him quick enough, and River ghosted him after the dinner. Judy bugged and refused to give me anymore missions after we rescued Evelyn so I couldn't do all her quests, and V tattled on Panam to Saul so prematurely ended the Nomad quests. (I was going to do her quests but I read the quest info that's 'written' by Johnny and it felt like he was implying V was just helping the Nomads to get in Panam's pants, so I just NOPED and tattled on her.) When I was able to call people at the end I could only call River who told me he couldn't talk and would ring back later, and Vik who continued to sound like he didn't give a shit about my V. I know he said he's not 'good with stuff like this' but it still felt cruel. So honestly the Engram choice was pretty easy to make. I did laugh at the end though during the phone calls because Panam, Mitch, and Saul all called me happy as can be as if I'd actually finished the Nomad side quests instead of ending it like I did.

Yikes that stream starts right when I normally go to sleep, but I'm really curious. Ugh! We'll see I guess. It'll still be around to watch later (or better a highlight video!)

I'm not expecting much from it honestly - and all I know is it will break my mods for some time so I likely won't be touching it for a while anyway. Unless it's something totally awesome I'm not bothered. If it's a couple more jackets, and a new car then who cares. Some 'leaks' have said things like maybe garages, barbers, apartment customization... but I can already do that with mods so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Only thing it'd be nice for is console players. But at this point it might not be anything at all except the console update.

Yeah, I'm mostly just expecting the current-gen version finally-but a few extras would be nice.

Eh. Great quality of life stuff for console players. Most of what's being added I can already use mods to deal with. I'll likely wait for my mods to update before I have a look at anything.

I could be looking at it wrong, but it looks like the ps5 version is going to be about 57 gb which is loads better than the over 130 gb it was taking up before when I tried it out there. (why the fudge they add so much extra space for backwards compatibility is beyond me as the game is supposed to only be around 100 g). So my most requested upgrade is official! I like the idea of buying new apartments, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new nibbles stuff. (I hope I can pet the kitty finally!) The new outfit is cool-but it's girly so I'll probably never use it. Hope it looks nice for the guy though...um, I hope the new messaging with the love interests is cool. I'm glad there's more implied sex now at least as you can sleepover now. Not just stare at grumpy River as he sits on the stairs. I uninstalled the game on xbox cause I didn't want it to update without my permission-cause odds are good I'll probably stick to the ps5 version for now. I'm looking forward to trying it for sure! the ps5 version will totally be installed by the time I'm ready to play. Pretty excited-I have to admit.

I don't have much interest in the canon romances so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ for that, but I guess it'll be nice when I get around to romancing Kerry properly. Just a shame his content is literally at the end of the game. Hopefully this fixes River hanging up on your ass when you try to call him though. As if Panam needs even more romantic content.I'm also that they've decided to make the Easy difficulty... harder. Like... is that not the point of easy? to be easy? The perk changes are... let's see what they end up nerfing.

I have only played a little so far. I have been fighting being sleepy from not sleeping much cause of staying up late to watch the show (and then staying up even later cause I got into futzing with d/ling the game and such). Still, what I've played so far is pretty good. I can't tell a huge difference in the graphics-I am starting to think I'm just not a good judge of such things. Though the faster load times are good in theory, but half the time I forget I need to hit a button to start the game at the beginning so the little radio spill will still be going and I eventually finally realize "start the game silly!" Fast travel load time seems better-but not enough to really write home about, I've only really played the game on current gen anyway-so I doubt the difference stands out as much for me. I haven't looked at the perks much honestly. I'm still early game and the perks in early game have always been pretty weak sauce. It'd be nice if they would slightly buff the early game netrunner stuff since they have nerfed so much of the late-game abilities. As it is now netrunners are so terrible at the beginning that you need to use a shotgun or something to do combat. Which slows down leveling up quick hack till later in the game. which sucks given how slow skills can build in this game. I am looking forward to later in the game when I can test out the new car stuff. the early game has so much traffic though that the one time I tried out the "donut/burnout" feature I got hit by another car immediately. sigh...Here's hoping this new version fixed the cars loading up with damage thing. Otherwise I guess I'll have to keep blowing up my own car and taking the money loss for insurance. It's the only way to fix a damaged car in 1.31

I'm also that they've decided to make the Easy difficulty... harder. Like... is that not the point of easy? to be easy? I was re-reading the patch notes just now. I really don't get that either. The game is really only "easy" once you've gone through about a 1/3 of the game. So making the easy mode harder seems wrong. On that same level, I noticed they listed making snipers do more damage-they can already one-shot V so what are they going to do now? Erase our save files?

It’s funny that in November, December and early January when I had waaay too much free time it felt like there was nothing new, but now that I’m ridiculously busy… bam, everything’s coming out, everything is updating, and I’m getting overwhelmed just thinking about it all. Or maybe I drank too much coffee this morning.

(It would have been four but one was delayed until March.)

I'm about 8 hours into my first PS5 run (playing Street Kid for what it matters). So far so good. (as in no major bugs other than visual clutter that has to be reloaded to nix). It seems that's just a thing CP will always have? I am liking the new map system. Sure it's only a minor tweak-but it's appreciated that you can filter things and the new icons are more user-friendly I'd say. It's still too soon to say if netrunner has been nerfed or buffed-but the electric non-lethal attack has been nerfed for sure. I saw that coming since it was the last of the great OP powers. Yet, it still does what it needs to do, and will be great against robots. For humans so far it seems that overheat is the way to go. I haven't tested it against any that resist it yet though. But even with enemies that supposedly have a weakness to elec, overheat did more damage. "revealing location" enemy hack has been nerfed-but I can't tell for sure how it works now. It seems like it mostly only takes effect now if it fully loads before the enemy dies (but it is supposed to be stopped by taking damage-but that's hit or miss in my findings). It also appears it alerts only enemies nearby now-but I'm still testing things out so if it alarms a whole building later on-I'll try to remember to say I was wrong. I can't get used to stealth now being called Ninjitsu. I...don't like it. I mean it's whatever, but I don't even use the knife-throwing stuff. I mean it does look neat, but I just don't see myself using it anytime soon. Cold blood got nerfed sadly. It would probably still help in heated combat situations, but IDK if it's quite the go-to as it was before?!? I suspect it'd still be required for the secret ending at the very least, but now it might be too underwhelming for the easier endings. Maybe I'll consider specing into something else than cool for once...eh!

Cold Blood got nerfed? Ooof, that's sad, I always sepc into it heavily, it's needed for the type of characters I run. I'm especially sad they nerfed armour/armour mods. Like you need that if you want to play melee or if you want to be a netrunner and not get insta-gibbed if an enemy so much as looks in your direction. I can see Don't Fear the Reaper being more of a pain with nerfs. Why do they have to nerf all the fun stuff, it's a single player game.

But the good news is I think it's mostly the offensive stuff that got nerfed for cold blood. (plus one less stack of cold blood sadly) So it should still be useful defensively I think. Though I haven't looked at the numbers close enough to know how different it is.

Hmm still sucks but oh well. The new patch broke all three of the mods I use for Vitor's eyes (the eye colour replacers still work, but the ones I use for Vitor are all connected in a way that when one breaks they all break) so I guess I won't be replaying as Vitor unless the mod makers updates the mods. (Unfortunately all three are broken in one way or another, but one relies specifically on another so is broken because of it.) A shame but no way I could play him without his unique eyes. However, my other cosmetic mods seem fine. The hair, make up, and complexion mods I checked seem okay still, as was my body, and tattoo mod, the clothing swaps that Vitor had were working so I'm assuming the others will likely be okay. I did have to remove a few others because they relied on mods that aren't updated yet. I don't plan to replay anytime soon so it doesn't suck quite so much but I will be sad if I can't get to replay Vitor in the future.
