I ask which two romances are considered good? I'd say all romances except the Red Prince romance are worthy of trying out. Lohse, Sebille, Fane, Ifan and Beast all have their own unique charm and cuteness. Red Prince on the other hand probably should of just been a character w/o a romance given his story arc lol. But that's just me. There's probably people out there who love his romance as well.

Red Prince on the other hand probably should of just been a character w/o a romance given his story arc lol. But that's just me. There's probably people out there who love his romance as well. Yeah, I heard about the problem with his romance. I'm sure, like you said, there are people who are fine with it and enjoyed it for what it is, but that scenario just doesn't sit right with me. If she was just a normal person, then maybe. I do write poly fanfiction so the idea isn't foreign to me. The issue is that she's special to him, more special than the player. It's their 'destiny' to be together.
So, with that in mind, the player just seems like a major third wheel. The ones I was hoping had good romances were Ifan, Lohse, and Sebille, as those are the characters that interest me the most just based off what I've seen. (I watched about two hours of gameplay yesterday, so this is just based off first impressions, I could very well end up liking Beast or Fane more if I explored their characters) Thanks for the response! Everyone has been incredibly helpful and informative. I feel pretty confident now that this game is what I want, it sounds really good and I tend to enjoy turn based combat. All the info given has really helped ease my anxiety about making the decision, so I genuinely appreciate the assistance.

@skylar Ifan's romance is my favorite. I really enjoy how into the pc he is. He also is very personal even before you romance him. Like he hugs you even when you are just friends, and I love stuff like that!

Like he hugs you even when you are just friends, and I love stuff like that! I'm big on hugs, so my interest in Ifan just increased by a hundred Nothing turns me off from a narrative more than when romance feels flat or forced, like a character's only doing it because they have to. So, I'm happy to hear there's build up. I love the friends-to-lovers route, because it feels more natural.

I spent the entire weekend playing this glorious game and all I've done is restart about ten times because I can't decide if I want to be a lizard or a human. (Lizards look so cool, but the females are so freaking tall and it makes me feel weird in dialogue whenever a character touches my PC's cheek or something because I imagine them standing on their tippy toes just to reach XD) I've made it to the end of Act one twice, but haven't gone on to act two yet. I can't figure out how to open the door to Dallis' room in the boat, but I'll get it eventually. I refuse to look it up! XD My birthday is tomorrow, but my mom got me the game early, which is pretty awesome. Anyways, for my party comp, I went with the people I found the most interesting. (And by interesting, I mean attractive) So I always take Ifan, Lohse, and Sebille. I kept Ifan as a wayfarer, changing him just feels wrong, and I made Lohse a knight because seeing her decked out in heavy armor is hilarious. Sebille is... Sebille. I was scared she'd kill me if I told her to be anything but a rogue. However, picking all the characters I liked the most has left me with a issue. I have no idea who I'll actually romance. My plan right now is just to keep playing and see who I like the best as the friendship develops. Right now it's still a tie because each of them had a special moment that made me melt. Ifan, after getting his crossbow, had a chat with my PC where he quoted Lucian. I had the scholar tag and was able to do another Lucian quote back at him. The moment was really sweet and he acknowledged that we had become friends.
When I asked Sebille about killing Stingtail and she just immediately assumes you're upset about it, the twist of being able to ask if she's okay was really great, especially her reaction.
So far Lohse has had the least content, but when we reached the ship and I told her I wouldn't abandon her it was supposed to be emotional. Then she started the, "You really really like me!" stuff and I actually blushed because it was so unexpected. The answer to this problem? I will have to replay the game many, many times to see everything. (such a burden, to endure entertainment for the sake of knowledge) Romance aside, I'm shocked by how much I like the actual main plot. It starts out simple enough, then slowly escalated so by the end of act one I'm just so confused and hyped at the same time. There's just so much replay value to this, I want to experiment with EVERYTHING, but I also want to beat the game so I'm repressing the urges. I went with a polymorph class (because shapeshifting is awesome). Tried summoning but I decided to save that class for another playthrough where I roleplay a character that isn't too keen on fighting themselves and so summons others to do it for them. I'm just having a great time so far, so a big thank you to the people that helped convince me to get it. I do have one last question, to help subdue my case of 'restart fever'. I heard that scholar and mystic are necessary tags to get some content in the game. (Like content that cannot be accessed any other way.) Was wondering if that was true. I'll be sad if it is, because I wanna experiment with the other tags.

I don't think it blocks off any major content if you don't have the tags. There's always more than one way to solve any quest and there are many different outcomes to most situations. Scholar is certainly useful a few times, but I don't remember mystic ever really resolving any major outcomes.

I started like twice the original games but I think I'm gonna wait and see what this third installment is about, I think the Ward story is done for good so I hope it's a new main character. I should play the original before this and having blue balls for two games, after waiting for so long for Khem Val, I think this is easy task LMAO
JUST KEEP THAT INCLUSIVENESS ON THIS GAME TOO LARIAN DO IT FOR THE GAYS

And yea I was thinking how great it'd be if they did put in some romances for BG3, that they just go with the DOS2 route of having them be available to everyone. But we shall see I GUESS!

Here's hoping it brings the gay and makes it to console sooner than later.

Here's hoping it brings the gay and makes it to console sooner than later. The fact that the old two are being ported and Larian has a history of porting makes it seem likely we'll get a console release. When? I have no idea XD if it's a really good game, I can handle a wait

This game has been on my wish list forever. I need to win the lottery so I can afford all the games I want, and hire a nanny and house cleaner so I can play them all day without having to stop because kids/cleaning/cooking blah blah blah.

OmG both of these sound lovely! I so wish they would have been around sooner! I loathe how they set up the team before we can fix them after getting to act 2.

Gift Bag 3 includes:
Pet Power Pet Power greatly enhances the summoning class and its infusion spells. With this feature, you can cast infusion spells on all available summons, not just your own Incarnate. Each summons receives different skills depending on the base elemental infusion type.
Combat Randomizer When entering combat, one or more random enemies will receive one of the new special statuses created specially for this feature. Think you know how a particular fight is going to go down? Not any more! This will change everything you thought you knew about combat, with each battle presenting a fresh new challenge.
Nine Lives (Back Cat+) Transforms the Black Cat into a follower. Once rescued, a whistle will appear in your inventory. You can use this if your cat gets lost or if you want to change who it follows.
Improved Organisation Find a collection of special bags that allow you to better (and automatically) organise your inventory.
Sourcerous Sundries In each major hub, you can now find a mysterious vendor selling exotic and potent artifacts. These artifacts can upgrade a character’s gear with immense power, bringing them up to the players' current level.
Hagglers Tired of forgetting to switch to your 'haggling' character when talking to traders? Now the reputation and skill of your whole party can help you wrangle the best prices!

OMG, all of these sound great, but that one...Could save so much freaking time. My whole life felt like all I ever did was send items to Ifan so I can sell them.
