So June 11 the direct, so hopefully we get to see all that we can do in the game, romances, etc. Hope this one pans out, feels like the one I could have the most fun with, even if the FPS option is a bit ehh, I do love space either way.

Well, I already have BG3 paid for but I think I'm gonna need more than a week with it so this is probably gonna have to wait for a bit lol. At least I won't get duped with a pre-order if it releases as a dumpster fire.

I mean, it wouldn't take much to be 'deeper' than Skyrim or FO4 honestly. Either way I'm still putting my time into BG3 first because there's already like 5 romances I want to do there. I may do one playthrough and then play Starfield just so I hopefully don't get spoiled too much, but honestly depends on what we find out about companions and romances between now and then.

It's cool that they seem to realize that romances are popular with players and seem to want to put more effort into them. But as other people have said, the bar is on the ground when you say more in depth than FO4. I'll believe it when I see it lol.

Considering the rumors/leaks emphasized how much of the development was dealing with space traversal/combat, I’m gonna wait to think the companions/romances will be anything interesting. Maybe the story will be cool and so will the companions. But Bethesda barely put work into those on games they weren’t doing vehicle combat/space exploration for.
and I do have to say this is technically another delay, which fits the leaks we got that said the developers were struggling with the space combat and exploration. Despite what Todd was saying about the game being playable/done a long while ago.

Well...I just realized that I can get BG3 and try Starfield on gamepass for 10 bucks-and if I like it enough buy it later on. So I'll probably do that. Even still I'll probably get BG3 first and the other later on. |

I hope we get some cute remarks when we sleep in the same base as them like in Fallout 4. Also, wish there would be a bit of kiss animation this time around-but they don't seem to do proper animations really.

even if it is more non-animated dialogue it would be still be an improvement  but like you guys said it would be cute repeatable kiss animations. As far I know FO4 modders didnt do it. |

I mean FO4 modders were busy doing sex animations, so there's probably a kiss one somewhere out there, but those sorts of heavy script mods always come with the chance of breaking your game.
I don't mind the game not having overt sex scenes, FO4 was pretty fade to black but the comments they made after were nice (except the Mutfruit, what are you doing with them MacCready.) They do say the romances will be more in depth so that's hopeful, but not hard to beat Skyrim and Fallout's considering.
Hoping the rest of the game is good, I'm already side-eyeing the 'thousands of planets' to explore thing. I'd rather have a handful of properly fleshed out planets to explore with hubs and bases, than hundreds or thousands of ones that you just go to and scan ala Mass Effect 2. Even if you can land on them all it doesn't mean they'll be interesting or have anything but a handful of resources. There's not a whole lot of content regarding companion status currently so I'm hoping we get to trek about with them and that they're not just people we interact with at a base. If I'm exploring a thousand planets, I at least want some sort of company with me.
