All I'm asking for from this game are some cuties. But, also, I tend to find romance pacing in most games to be either annoyingly too long to initiate or too fast to complete content. Greedfall is especially bad about this with both of it's bisexual characters in different directions. Outside of that, I know nothing about this game so I would probably ask dumb questions I could answer by googling Romance pacing is almost impossibly hard but we’re trying to make it work! Yeah, I don't envy anyone who has to pace romances in games, or really pace any writing at all lol. It's not as huge of deal even when it does get messed up, but I thought I would mention it. Thank you for coming in to clarify any doubts Emily, it really means so much to us! I don’t have much to ask that would be too soon, so I’ll just say Im very curious and interested on the Amergin romance so far the most! Im intrigued how his goals and view of what’s going on will affect or not a romance and how he opens his heart to it. Only small tiny wish, is that I hope we can see him without the hood sometimes hehe. But all the characters are looking so unique and fresh, definitely looks worth replaying a lot of times to try different paths!

Emily just for you know some people are from parts of europe and they are sleeping (I'm the only european weirdo that is not sleeping a friday/saturday night/morning right now lol) so I'm sure they'll ask more questions when they are available. Another question, how tall is Delba and is she a f/f option? My future lesbian characters wanna know. I dont know if you can answer this but since we know three m/m options already, asking for other female companions as well if they are bi options too (Khaldun), also for Brigg too! If you cant answer this is totally fine  Edit. Also we are kinda confused about the time travel mechanics, I dont know if it's not too spoilery or it's too early to ask but we were wondering how that works, can the character time jump at will or first we are stuck in the celtic era and then we are stuck in the medieval spain era. |

I was wondering if we can romance Khaldun with a female character? I'm almost as excited about her as I am about Heraklios.

Just read through a couple posts here and I just want to thank emilybuckshot for taking the time to join this little forum of ours and to do this little AMA here with us all  Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a dev/writter being so open and honest about their game with their community as you. It truly is a nice breath of fresh air and it surely reassures me on a lot of levels that this game is going to be as queer as possible [or even more queer(er)? hell yeah!]. Like I've mentioned on Twitter, hearing more and more about this game just makes it even more than an absolute honor to be a Waylanders backer and it really makes really happy! I joined the game's kickstarter campaign a few minutes before it ended, so yeah I was quite close on that one  I was going to ask if there's going to be a male and/or KISA-type character(s) in the game that we could romance as either male or female protagonist respectivelly but I guess Davrin's boobs already made that question xD |

Def going to romance Brigg with a lady werewolf at some point then.  I'm a lot more hyped about this game the more we hear... so far no nasty surprises sneaking up on us. I guess we'll see how the companions end up in the medieval era, but Amergin and Berath also look to be good options. Now to just hope I can play a werewolf magic user considering their blurb about them losing their magic. *Hopes.* |

Goblin romance sure would be interesting, but if I remember correctly they don't speak (I don't know if they're actually capable of speech and just refuse to use it, though). I wonder how communication with them works. Plus, their behaviour is kinda child-like with their playful personality and their preference for pranks. It's a litle difficult for me to imagine them as a romance option. I remember Bioware decided against a Cole romance because they thought it would be creepy to romance someone who's mentally a child (I don't remember their actual phrase anymore). But on the other hand, Goblins are just a different species and no actual children or adults with the mind of a child - even if they may have some personality traits that resembles them. So, technically, it could be possible. I still doubt it though.

If Bioware taught me one thing, it's that I shouldn't take them seriously on twitter. It's long ago when I last played DAI, but I can't remember Cole being overly child-like...or at least not more childish than Merril who was romanceabe. I sometimes have the feeling they just search for a reason to excuse their decisions (for example not making Solas - the most plot relevant male companion we've ever had - bisexual).  Also that endless teasing about Jaal... argh, I don't really want to remember anymore. It's still annoying to think about that. |

Afaik, Cullen M/M romance ended up being cut due to supposed "lack of time" (despite delaying the game one year to make his and Solas romances, which seems completely contradictory in itself…). Since I'm bored do you realise that we have almost every celtic era character sexual orientation confirmed and the game is still being written? That's awesome! just for fun, since Emily revealed the companion list from the celtic era, let's sum it up! 1 animal (Berath's wolf? Maybe a mythical animal?) 4 women (Delba, Khaldun, Mal?, Zaunk?) 3 men (Amergin, Berath and Heraklios) 1 nb person (Brigg) 1 agender person (Goblin?) if that is the case I wonder how many of them will have their gender changed in the medieval era? I dont know why but I feel like Brigg will still be NB but with a male body (if that makes sense I hope nobody is offended I dont know how to word it) I wonder if goblins are immortal too? Fae beings usually are so, maybe they live long lives. Amergin, Berath and Delba are already confirmed to be the same people in the medieval era. What about the animal? if he/she is a mythical creature maybe is immortal too. OMG and Berath's wolf?  For the sake of people romancing exclusive f/f and m/m humans I hope Khaldun and Heraklios dont change their genders but who knows (I personally dont care since I'm pretty much settled for Berath  but I feel you in that case scenario fam) edit. I totally forgot about quest-givers but I dont give a damn about non-companions edit2. Also people is getting the board game right now |

Do you know if all the NPC dialogue is voiced? I'm still kinda bummed that the protag is silent but I can cope if everyone else speaks. I know there are lots of playable races but I kinda wish we had a stretch goal for one player voice for each gender and then make it optional for those that prefer their imagination. Hell, Matt Mercer could probably do all the races himself. I would fund that shit so hard lol. |
