Hopefully I'm not the only superfan of the CW's DC universe. Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and their step-sister Supergirl. Would be nice if this place could become lively with finales happening this week (at time of posting) and all of them renewed for next year.
Black Lightning will not be in the same universe but who knows it may end up established as being on a connected Earth since this is the multiverse.

Oooh you made it! I had been thinking of doing one for DC and one for marvel. But was always undecided if to make the thread tv only or open it to the movies as well. I need to catch up on all the arrowverse, hulu removed the shows and I haven't been able to but at least netflix is dropping the full season a week later from when it ends. Im pretty excited also for Wonder Woman's big screen debut now, as its getting some pretty nice comments from critics that were not fans of the recent movies.

Oh I will be at the midnight screening of Wonder Woman I'm so excited for it. Yeah I wondered about a DC thread but thought maybe better if a more condensed thread were made and the Arrowverse covers several shows so it seemed the best idea. I'm sorry those sites dropped it. I could recommend reliable 3rd party sources of course I wont post links here. Also a place where posting things like this can be considered on topic

Hahaha for sure. Doesn't matter what version of Green Arrow there is, I'll let any of them put an arrow on me. Though Stephen Amell is the more "visually detailed" I can observe for.... science yes. Felicity would agree.

Since they found ways for crossovers with Supergirl, I'm pretty sure that they'll do the same for Black Lightning. I'm disappointed that Black Lightning isn't in the same Universe as Arrow & Flash though, I think an older Super Hero who retired and then comes out of retirement would be a nice contrast to the younger heroes in Arrow & Flash. Black Lightning has a family, his daughters have powers, his non-hero responsibilities are different to Arrow & Flash BUT he still has to beat up bad guys. Plus it would be a nice way to increase the amount of POC characters in a Universe where there aren't that many.

I just finished Supergirl Season 2 and I wanted to share my thoughts about it and my hopes for next season. Using the spoiler tag because it only just ended. This season has been up & down for me. The good episodes are fantastic and on par with the best of Season 1, but it did have some low points. I mean there is a whole episode basically devoted to reassuring Jimmy that he is still a good hero after he gets all upset that people prefer Supergirl to Guardian. It feels like a huge ego stroke for him, of course, people find Guardian scary Jimmy, you dress all in black and wear a scary helmet. The last 2 episodes were amazing, it was great to have Cat back, Rhea was a great villain and that fight between Supergirl and Superman was fantastic. And even though I wasn't a fan of Mon-El, I could empathise with Kara feelings about him having to leave. Two things that worry me for season 3 though. 1. I was disappointed that Kara didn't reveal her identity as Supergirl to Lena. They made a big deal about Lena not knowing who she was and now I worry that it will turn into some big plot point in season 3 and lead to the destruction of their friendship. I understand why Lena would be hurt about Kara not telling her earlier but, I think that the two are close enough to be able to talk it out. I worry that they will try to add drama to their relationship and ruin it. 2. Don't get me wrong here, I am super glad that Alex & Maggie are getting married, but again it would be the perfect place for the writers to had conflict and break all of our hearts. I can envision some alien killing Maggie on their wedding day and Alex going on the rampage. or brainiac (who was teased at end of the last episode) mind controlling one of them. It would be horrible. I really hope they don't do it. There are plenty of ways to add drama, conflict and interesting to a show without destroying female friendships and burying the gays but it is a ridiculously common way of doing it and I just hope they don't go that way.

Some thoughts on supergirl myself I think the villain teased at the end was Reign.
Yeah I do agree it was up and down. When it's been good it's be so great. I would still rank it 4th of the arrowverse shows though.
I've missed cat grant but I'm sad she was used to reintroduce the gender politics that I thought had finally been left behind.
Martian Manhunter continues to be the best part of the show. And I wonder if Mon-El will return suited up as Valor.

Good point, it could be Reign. I don't know much about her though. I don't read alot of Supergirl comics.
Supergirl is my favourite of the DC T.V. shows. I couldn't get into Arrow (probably because I can't leave my comic knowledge behind and the show does so much stupid stuff with great characters.) and didn't get past the 1st season of Flash.
I actually missed the more out and out feminist side of the show that seemed to have left with Cat. It's not something that tends to be so obviously presented on T.V. with writers preferring to hide behind subtext and allegory rather than have a character straightforwardly state a feminist message.
Don't get me wrong here, Cat's feminism is bourgeois feminism so there are alot of issues with it, but it is still refreshing to see a person be so open about in on T.V.
Also Jimmy sucks and should never have been put in charge of CatCo.

Agree with all points, my bet is that Lena is gonna to have a Morgana kinda arc. Where she falls for the dark side after feeling betrayed by Kara, which I hope it is a temporary thing. Or maybe Lena just knows it already because it is pretty obvious. I really think that Alex/Maggie marriage is a good thing, they know about the tv tropes and expressed respect to avoid them. Of course we are going to have drama, not sure how much.
Also I love how Cat knows all of them even with masks.

Awww you guys are awesome for putting spoiler tags. I heard Flash Season 3 was pretty weak overall, while Arrow apparently did a banging finale that IGN gave it a 10/10, not that I really follow reviews but thats a rare high praise of them. Quite curious to see how Supergirl is doing, though Im sad Cat Grant isn't a regular. Anyway Ill start catching up this weekend on the seasons! Oh and Legends too.

Legends of Tomorrow I think has nudged past Arrow and become my favourite of the shared universe.
Arrow and Legends have always been the top 2 for me.

Legends is the funny one. It's got the serious drama and everything but never loses its charm. It's the Warehouse 13 of the Arrowverse.
