I actually watched his one season on a gay show: Date's Cove. I was really sad that he was straight on that too-apparently his character was gay in season 2, but recast or something. meh...I only saw the first as it's all they have on hulu. oh that explains a lot! I remember hearing he played a gay character but then could never find the footage. I tried so hard to look for one XD. Yeah, I hope he didn't quit the show because of where they took the character-but it's far more likely he just got a better job. The show was terrible. |

I mean, that was also the time when just playing a gay character could impact your career - that was, what, around 2007, and I remember that Thomas Dekker's agent made Heroes take out a line confirming his character as gay because they were afraid of it impacting his chances to play John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles (funny, considering he's since come out and married a man...).

It's terrible just how much of an effect one's sexuality even if just perceived-can have on your career and life in general. I'm glad it's slowly getting better, but given how gaming almost seems to back slide lately-I still feel leery about the way things could go. |
