I came across with this short survey on Reddit, I think is good to submit our feedback Done!  I wonder what people reply for their favorite romance. Mine's Anders  I chose Kaidan...but Andrew is a very close second. Kaidan only wins because we have a much longer history together, nostalgia, and he came into my life when I really needed him. Andrew on the other hand came into my life at a much better, more exciting time so I was less dependent on him emotionally....plus the huge lack of a Technomancer fandom creating fan art! I might just commission something myself because I can't seem to find any!As far as romance goes though they are on equal levels for me, each with their own strengths. Two wonderful guys that I love.  Done! I wonder what people reply for their favorite romance. Mine's Anders I chose Alistair but also I said that since he's not a m/m romance I chose Jaal instead. Sigh Alistair.... we could have it all. I think I'd be in gay heaven if Alistair and Cullen had both been canonically bisexual men. Seriously those two are exactly what I am looking for in a medieval fantasy romance. I need that type of gay romance with a handsome, stubble/bearded, blonde/ginger gay KISA! ...I seriously hope either Obsidian or BioWare will deliver this with their next games. I'm not sure how much longer I can "hold out for a [prince]". Shameless Bonnie Tyler song reference.
Seriously though...I don't understand why Cullen wasn't the first choice for a bisexual romance. If he had been, then both males and females could have had their "Disney prince/princess" romance with Josephine and Cullen. It makes sense, right? Plus he already had a large fanbase prior to Inquisition? I envy females that got that sweet Josie romance!  I'd have loved Inquisition so much more just for bi Cullen! |

Andrew Mancer we almost got Cullen and ofc it was because of time restraints, not that "I wrote him that way" bullshit that old gay grumpy Gaider tried to pulled on us. There're lines recorded, even spanish subtitles are translated... Sadly mlm players are not a priority. I just want that if some part of some romance have to be cut, it will be the straight part for once, or better they put their shit together and think well about the sexualities of their own characters and not leaving leftovers when dataminers do their work. It's just infuriating we were this close to get a KISA...With DAI I got lucky because I love Bull (even though BW keeps pulling that " But Not Too Bi" trope with preference for women that all BW bi men have) I love how he looks and he would have still been my canon romance in DAI anyway, but I totally understand that a purple giant with horns is not everybody's taste. And Dorian is out of the question for me sadly. Alistair however, gods that one hurts and will always hurt to me. Realistically, for DA I expect our greatly desired KISA, and if Greedfall have s/s romances I expect some native american warrior. I would be content with those personally. Sadly as much as I want a werewolf for DA, it fits more for an urban fantasy rpg, seriously I dont know how no company has done this yet. I hope Spiders confirms same sex romances soon, I really dont want to be disappointed.

I mean...if that was unintentional, how could they not realize? It's not exactly subtle.  I am confident that if they do romance, there will be some very good same-sex options. After spoiler above, they've proved to me that they can handle m/m romance much better than BioWare. |

I don't want to be so critical of BioWare, the company that introduced me to gay protagonists...but they make it so hard to love them with how poorly they treat us and that whole Andrromeda disaster. I spent over 100 hours with that man in my party and I was head over heels for him!!!! Okay, now I really need him to be a gay romance option! I need to romance this wonderful, animal loving, family oriented, ruggedly handsome farmer!!! Please let it happen, Obsidian! I need to romance Robert Joseph MacCready all over again. I've romanced Dorian three times just because he was my only other option...so I can see the appeal, but he just isn't for me. I still think Blackwall would've been a much better choice. Immersion breaking "my lady" aside, I was pretty invested in his modded gay romance and it broke my heart to leave him for Cullen. So yeah...modded gay Cullen or Blackwall for me anytime I go back to Inquisition. |

Honestly, I was already pretty excited for this game because of the setting and how much I loved Technomancer, but this confirmation has me sold! I trust that they will be able to pull off yet another wonderful romance between the male protagonist and his male companion. They did so good with Andrew, he's perfect.  I can't say the same for BioWare. I don't have any confidence in their ability to craft a good RPG and a good gay romance anymore. Not after Andromeda. Thinking about Gil still hurts and the thought of playing through Inquisition any more gives me headache. |
