I keep playing around with the idea of making a CoG or a mod for a game like Skyrim... but then I get so overwhelmed that I never bother.  I know how to code. I've gotten A's in the CS classes I've taken. I think it comes down to the fact I'm really incompetent when it comes to organizing and motivating myself, and I get too ambitious when it comes to these things because I don't want to put out something lackluster.  |

I sort of have an idea for a Twine game, or some other text-based thing. I got the idea while we were talking in the Secret Project thread, but I have a lot on my plate already, so I might have to forget about it for now.  |

So I kind of want to make a visual novel-type game. Anyone have any experience in using any of those game-maker programs that are out there for making visual novels? I know there's a couple of them, but I'm curious if anyone here has tried any of them. |

I made a Twine...mmm, I guess I'd call it a short interactive horror story rather than a game, working with text timing and the such to try to give some atmosphere and tension. Kind of just wanted to learn the program a bit because ultimately I'd like to do a long-form "choose your own adventure" kind of thing. I've also played around with RPG Maker and I've got some ideas, but I feel like actually *making a game* would (and should) be the only project I'm concentrating on and I just don't have the time for it. I get too impatient sometimes  You should share the twine story if you're comfortable! I love horror stories/games. |

Im looking into rpg maker right now, im looking at all the engines to play around with right now, I want to find a way to present some stories through games or visual novels, nothing too fancy but at least have some good concepts.
