So this is interesting. Do we apply our own preferences to the characters? So I'm a top. Typically. And I kinda...And don't hurt me for this...I fancy Scott more than Gil. So Scott is a bottom. Cos I want to do things to him. Bad bad things. But I can't. So Gil gets to. And they are also all kinds of cute. So that works out well too. Just imagine yourself as Gil and you're done. I know nothing about starship engines. |

So that works out well too. i always self-insert into player characters if i'm playing a male. avatars can be eye candy but i distance myself from him/it. which means all the romantic interests are tops (unless explicitly stated otherwise, but even then i have headcanon). in this case it also helps i quite like the way gil looks. i find scott cute but completely uninteresting physically |
