It honestly really piss me offthat they KNEW, absolutely knew, without any doubt or question that a same-sex romance was wanted with Kaidan, and then they refused to have ANY acknowledgement in the slightest that even alludes to the idea that Shepard and Kaidan could have been attracted to each other in ME1.

I really enjoy the changes it makes in 3 especially. I haven't fully played anything from the OT in probably almost three years at this point, so I'm excited. Playing a shooter on a keyboard and mouse is an experience though. It's not like I was good at combat in ME1 even when I had a controller. |

I would suggest looking up the controller mods on nexus. totally worth it. |

So the same gender romance mod worked great for ME1, but I'm not sure if I installed it correctly for ME2. When I start the game, a notification comes up that says the DLC with the mod name is corrupted and can't be used. Is that normal? Because I tried making a new Shepard to check the Genesis where Kaidan is supposed to be an option with the Genesis files added to the mod, but I only had Ashley, Liara, and no romance as options.

Hey! Kaidan Alenko is my favourite boyfriend on ME universe too!
I just reinstall ME3 again to enjoy 3D Action RPG which I lack for quite sometime. Use my canon Sheaprd and see Kaidain again warm my heart. He's breathtaking!!
Before I play ME3 further (on Mars right now), One question that I still don't know is. In the scene that Kaidan invite Shepard to have lunch on Citadel. When Kaidan express his feeling to Shepard, he has at least 2 different version of dialogue.
1) When I use my canon Shepard who never flirt with anyone
2) When I play by create new Shepard on ME3.
This playthrough Kaidan have extra dialogue for detail of "his someone" (Someone strong, confident, admire and handsome.)
Who know how to trigger 2) ?
I think it's better than 1) but I can't get that by use canon Shepard. I try choosing dialogue different, change order of dialogue but nothing change in lunch scene.
I hope that dialogue is not available only when we play by new Shepard because Shepard lost many friend by using it.

I prefer the modded version of that scene. I am not sure but it does appear those are different flavors based on import or not. Which is an odd thing to do since they have an established relationship of some nature regardless of Shepard's past choices if he's still alive that is. Very strange. But yeah, neither of those are close to the moded continued relationship.  |

There's so much bullshit regarding the handling of Kaidan's romance with male Shepard in ME3, I'd imagine that, while they recorded dialogue that could actually address the different dynamic of the two Shepards, where it was female Shepard's choice to not pursue a relationship with him in ME1 while male Shepard wasn't allowed the option by edict of BioWare, they ultimately ended up parsing it down to the same dialogue with no variation, using the "cut for time/budget" justification, that taking the time to program the variation in dialogue was going to be too much of a "hardship" on their bottom line, their budget and timing, even though that's, what, maybe an hour's worth of overtime pay tops?

That dialogue is set to only occur if you didn't play through ME1 with your Shepard (basically if you started a new game in ME2 or ME3). One of the changes my ME3 mod actually makes to the date scene is that it allows that dialogue if male Shepard romanced Kaidan using the ME1 mod. |

I played it about a year ago and the mod didn`t worked for me in ME2. I romanced Kaidan with this really great mod in ME1 but he didn`t recognized my Shepard on Horizon as he was supposed to do. Very annoying I had to get to the Horizon mission to know its not working. So I deleted the game for space on my pc. I might reinstall it though. Would like to experience full Kaidan romance at last. Could anyone tell me what changes happen in ME2 with this mod, are there some early signs in the beginning of the game that show that mod works? Or I had to wait till Horizon mission again to know if it works or not? |
