Usual sign to know if the game has recognized a romance existing in ME1 when you start ME2 is to see if you have a photo of your love interest from the first game in Shepard’s cabin on the Normandy.

I'm an idiot, but I finally figured out what I was doing wrong with the ME2 mod, so Kaidan's ass had better get ready. Hi, could you tell the details of what you did to get mod working in ME2? I played it about a year ago and the mod didn`t worked for me in ME2. I romanced Kaidan with this really great mod in ME1 but he didn`t recognized my Shepard on Horizon as he was supposed to do. Very annoying I had to get to the Horizon mission to know its not working. So I deleted the game for space on my pc. I might reinstall it though. Would like to experience full Kaidan romance at last. Could anyone tell me what changes happen in ME2 with this mod, are there some early signs in the beginning of the game that show that mod works? Or I had to wait till Horizon mission again to know if it works or not? Well, what I was doing wrong was installing all the files via My Documents rather than Program Files. But when I was doing that, I'd get a notification in game whenever I got to the start screen that my "DLC" wasn't working, so that might not be the same problem you had. |

I`ve installed ME2 with the mod and imported my ME1 save file. I now have Kaidan`s picture on Shepard`s desk in the cabin. I don`t remember if I had the photo the time it didn`t work I think I hadn`t. Anyway I hope it will work now. |

Some people are disappointed that the Legendary Edition didn't add Kaidan as a romance in ME1. This isn't a slight against gay male players specifically, but a consequence of the fact that no new dialogue was added. While it's true that most of the dialogue for a m/m romance in ME1 is present they're missing content for a Kaidan vs Ashley or a Kaidan vs Ashley vs Liara situation. As I understand it they realized too late back when the original version was released that those two confrontations weren't present, which as I understand it was why they didn't implement it originally.

IIRC the romance mod only triggers the confrontation scene after Virmire so a three way confrontation isn't needed |

The BioWare store added a set of towels based on Kaidan's Citadel DLC cooking scene!
It's a cute idea - but when they said they were going to have Kaidan merchandise I was hoping he'd get a statue or lithograph like the other popular characters...not towels...
Hopefully this is just a start and more Kaidan stuff gets added to the store!

I ordered them purely because it's the only Kaidan merch available, and I worry that if they don't sell it'll be a loooong time before we see anything else Kaidan related in the store. But man, what a disappointment. After seeing Garrus and Tali get everything their fans could ever dream of, the best we get is kitchen towels. My kitchen doesn't even have beer or hot sauce.
I just want a figure, statue, or plush.

The BioWare store has a survey out for Kaidan fans specifically! Survey LinkThe questions are all about hoodies so that hopefully means we're getting a new Kaidan hoodie in the store sometime in the future. Fingers crossed! |
