Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw there was so Star Trek Voyager thread, so here we go. Like most Star Trek series it starts off a bit rocky but season 4 onwards has some of the best episodes that Star Trek has to offer. Captian Janeway is amazing, a scientist & diplomat who will shoot you in the face if she needs too. Discuss the awsome.

The good thing about Star Trek is how silly it can get with the holodeck, also only found out recently that the actors Seven of Nine and Janeway were enemies on set. That shit blow my mind, I would never guessed. They had the most interesting interaction and the strongest friendship in character.

Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew are really great actors.
My favourite example of this is how great Ryan was in Body & Soul, when she was perfect as acting like the Doctor.

On a Voyager rewatch at the moment and got to Before and After which is the only decent Kes focused episode, not that, that is saying much, but it got me thinking of some weird stuff.
Ocampa have birthing sacks on their back but they clearly give birth to human sized babies, so does that mean their birthing sack gets the same size as a human woman's womb? How would the get around? I get that their pregnancy is much shorter because 40 weeks is a life time for Ocampa, but there still has to be a period of time where they have this huge swollen sack on their back.
It also made be realise how close Torres & Janeway stand together when they are both nerding out about a science/engineering problem. Those adorable nerds.

Thoughts on Scorpion Part 1 & Part 2. Chakotay is a fucking asshole, who abandoned Janeway and her plan cos he has no vision and is a coward. As soon as somthing goes wrong, his first instinct to to betray the Borg. The Borg, one of the most powerful species in the Universe and he is all like, ´we'll just drop them off and flee, that will work out fine´

As soon as somthing goes wrong, his first instinct to to betray the Borg. The Borg, one of the most powerful species in the Universe and he is all like, ´we'll just drop them off and flee, that will work out fine´ Considering that the Borg are the greatest threat the Federation has faced, to the point that Starfleet basically treats an encounter with them like the prelude to war (see First Contact - Borg cube on a direct path to Earth? Assemble a fleet and blow the shit out of it), his discomfort with the alliance, particularly when the particulars of the deal seem to keep changing and the Borg can't be trusted not to betray them (as the episode's name and moral indicate, it's their nature)... Yeah, I understand exactly where Chakotay's coming from. Hell, I love Janeway, consider her one of my role models, but this was a risky decision that I can absolutely believe that backing out of this 'deal' is a good idea. Especially when, as we learn later, this war between the Borg and Species 8472 was (unsurprisingly) started by the Borg in the first place.
