Dedicating a little corner to my favourite genre of music. Maybe it's a long shot and there's a few fellow fans up in here. Or maybe it'll be something new to introduce you too.

Currently active bands of the genre include: Nightwish, Epica, Delain, Edenbridge, Xandria, Lunatica, Visions of Atlantis, Within Temptation, Leaves' Eyes

OMG EPICA!

I could honestly listen to them all day. I was a huge Nightwish fan but Epica have overtaken them for me for best example of the genre.

I also like Kamelot, although they might technically count as Power metal because if their singer, I've always counted them in the Symphonic Metal bucket because of their link to Epica.

Amberian Dawn are good too, I've a couple of their albums.
