FemShep and Ash in ME1, the sadness of Horizon in ME2, dialogue on Mars in ME3 indicating the romance, plus the hospital scenes and then whatever the stuff you have to do to reunite them. (Oh, and when Ash rejoins the Normandy, FemShep will check out her ass - or I assume so, since BroShep does so with Kaidan.) And then the Citadel dlc. Personally, I'd recommend starting with the same sex romance mod for ME1. Rondeeno did say ME2 was going to be trickier to fix (Kaidan's post-Horizon email refers to BroShep as a woman so I suppose Ash's would refer to FemShep as a man). Still, I'll take what I can get. Oh, I'll definitely play ME1 with this mod, but before going with ME2 and 3 as well, I'd like to know how it will look like first. The dialogues were already there for ME1, so it didn't take much work. BioWare could have done this at any time. I heard that in Germany, ME1 has these things unlocked without mods. BioWare chose not to do so elsewhere for "sensitive" gamers. In any case, get a start on ME1 to see how that looks.

Btw, can you ask that guy if this mod will allow for FemShep and Ash romance in ME2 and 3 as well? Just to be sure.

To the extent that Ash is in ME2, it's acknowledged. That's true even without mods if you used a console command for gender swap, the game continues to understand that the romance has happened. My experience with Kaidan is that it continues on through all games. However, he has not released the mod for ME3 just yet. He just started on the testing phase of it. Since I don't think Ash was romanceable by FemShep in ME3, I don't know how it will work out. Ash WILL acknowledge the relationship on Mars and in the hospital. It's later points that I'm uncertain about where your romance is concerned. Still, you could do the first two games and wait to play ME3.
I completely understand why you'd be excited about it, though. No female squadmate romance options at any point in the trilogy. That has to be frustrating and I hope the ME3 mod is out soon for you.

Just got the files for the continued same sex romance in ME3. Going to check it out, starting with my first visit to Kaidan in the hospital. There's some unvoiced dialogue there that I think I'll be able to hear. I'll let you know how it works.

The dialogues were already there for ME1, so it didn't take much work. BioWare could have done this at any time. I heard that in Germany, ME1 has these things unlocked without mods. If BioWare will do a remaster version of the trilogy it would be great if they`ll unpatch Kaidan romance, so we can enjoy it like it was intended in the beginning ( but then was cowardly removed). As for this mod - it`s amazing. I`m glad I decided to install it. I usually don`t like such mods, but when I knew that dialoges were voiced over by real actors and were intended to be in the game in the first place I tried this mod and like Ashly ( when I leave her on Virmire over and over again) "I don`t regret a thing". P-)

Minor update for ME3: First hospital visit with Kaidan (this is an imported romance), there's no silent dialogue. There's something to be heard and it's not what I used to see captioned.
Looking forward to the next hospital visit and also the date, where rondeeno has said I'll see changes. There was also something on Mars that I missed because I'd already played it. Think I'm going to restart the game from the beginning. Not happy with the way my Shepard looks on import (never ran into this problem before though I'm aware it's an issue) and might try to tweak him a bit.

So if I used this mod in ME1, when I`ll start ME2 with save file from 1 will the game recognize this romance or do I need to use some mods in ME2 too? (Sorry if it was already answered somewhere).

So if I used this mod in ME1, when I`ll start ME2 with save file from 1 will the game recognize this romance or do I need to use some mods in ME2 too? (Sorry if it was already answered somewhere). Import into ME2. The game will recognize the romance. There's one minor flaw in that the message Kaidan sends you after Horizon refers to you as a woman. ME2 hasn't been modded so there's no way around this just yet. For the record, non-modded ME3 also recognizes the romance to a point. It definitely does in the beginning but at the first hospital visit there's unvoiced dialogue so keep the captions on. Also, by the time you reach Apollo's Cafe for the date, they no longer remember having had a relationship. The author has made something for ME3, as well, which will alter dialogue on Mars, in Huerta, at Apollo's Cafe and one other spot that I'm not clear about just yet. He hasn't officially posted the mod but I sent him files for him to test on so in return he's letting me try it out. I imagine by the time you get to ME3 this will be working (unless you do speed runs). I will let you know how it works out. That goes for you, too, Ashii6.

I also take my time playing. I write "stories" about my playthroughs on BSN. It doesn't just say "I did this" but gives a peek into Shepard's thinking. It can change a lot depending on how I'm playing, background, choices, etc.
In any case, here are the changes I've noticed. Different dialogue at the end of the Mars mission, different dialogue when you first visit Kaidan in Huerta (while he's still unconscious), and an amazing amount of different dialogue during the second visit to Kaidan after he wakes up. Nothing is unvoiced so it will all things BioWare had hidden in files. I so want to pull up old saves to see the rest but instead I'm just going to play the game and discover it as it comes.

Just got to the date at Apollo's Cafe. Kaidan said this: "I love you Shepard. I always have. I want to understand what this is between us...and make it real." This is all voiced, which means it was there but unused. OMG, this just brings in all kinds of good feelings!

Update for ME1. When playing BroShep, you can have Kaidan be the one to approach the beacon; similarly, with FemShep, you can have Ash go to the beacon. Gender locks removed for NPCs to flirt with you (Or flipped? Not sure.) Conrad will flirt with male Shep and Gianna will flirt with female Shep (for example - may be others). Romance is an active endeavor on the part of Shepard. You have to choose it. In theory, you could romance Ash, Kaidan and Liara at the same time; however, the argument over it will not occur until after Virmire. There's one conversation about it that can't be done with FemShep and Ash because Ash uses "sir" in it (details are eluding me); similar issue is NOT present for BroShep and Kaidan.
I have rescued Kaidan from the clutches of the Prothean Beacon but have yet to observe any of the other changes.

Hi everyone! Thank you for all the kind words about the mod (and thank you dmc1001 for creating this thread). I'm really glad you guys like it. I wanted to let you all know that I've made some exciting progress on an ME2 mod that allows MaleShep to romance Thane and FemShep to romance Tali. All of the necessary edits are finished (at least AFAIK) and I've tested and made sure that the dialogue functions properly and the romance flags are set and recognized. Here's a few screenshots: This is the dialogue option that both initiates and locks-in Tali's romance for FemShep. After locking-in the romance, Tali will say this line to FemShep until the romance scene occurs. Here's the dialogue where MaleShep can initiate Thane's romance. This is the point where MaleShep can either lock-in Thane's romance or end it. The romances have some limitations, unfortunately. There's no romance scene between MaleShep and Thane, some of Tali's romance conversations won't occur for FemShep, and it's impossible to break up with either of them after the romance is locked-in (and those are just the major limitations). I tried to restore as much unused content as possible, but those are things I can't do much about. On the bright side, the romances will still be acknowledged in conversations with Mordin and Liara in LOTSB, and it should be possible to invite Thane/Tali to the cabin after the Suicide Mission. In addition to the romances, the mod also restores unused dialogue allowing MaleShep to flirt with Jacob and FemShep to flirt with Miranda, have a fling with Jack, and receive a kiss from Gianna Parasini. It also fixes some of the issues with imported same-sex Ashley and Kaidan romances if you used the ME1 mod, so Kaidan no longer refers to MaleShep as a woman in his email and Kelly now asks FemShep about her relationship with Ash and MaleShep about his relationship with Kaidan. There are still some things I'm not 100% sure about since I haven't been able to playtest through the entire game, so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in testing the mod on a full playthrough (particularly the Tali and Thane romances). It would be a huge help and I'd really appreciate it. Let me know what you think!

Wow, amazing job rondeeno thank you so much, for now I could not test it for you, I'm sorry (work and PC problems, but maybe in coming days), but I will try to find someone who can. Again great work, thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you for the replies and the welcome! I'm really glad you guys are interested in the mod.
And that would be really helpful Lukensen, thank you! The mod is basically finished; testing is the only thing left before it can (finally) be released, so I want to try and get it out of the way as fast as possible.

If no one else can do it, I guess I could do it. Kaidan's gonna be pissed in ME3 when he found out I was cheating with Thane.

Not precisely cut so much as not finished.

Hey so was all this content just stuff cut from the game that is still in the code? All of the dialogue added by the mod is unused content from the game files (the mod doesn't actually add or edit any sound files), but I had to edit some of the conversation paths and cutscenes to prevent any unvoiced dialogue, since there's also a lot of missing content.
