Incredibles 2 was awesome. A much different tone than the first one but still as enjoyable. They had an apology for taking 14 years to make the next movie before hand that I laughed pretty hard at. The short before the movie was pretty sweet, hit me right in the feels.

Watching fallen kingdom tonight, anyone see it yet? Yes. It has some good moments and I like the lead actors, but even by Jurassic Park standards the whole premise is ridiculous, and the ending even more so.

Oh I don't watch these movies for any kind of serious premise lol, I just want to see dinosaurs eat people and I was very pleased in that respect. Also Blue, Blue is pure awesome.

I think the most ridiculous thing was... ...the idea that a group of dinosaurs small enough to fit in the basement of a country house and potentially be gassed to death is somehow enough to repopulate the world to me extent that we will now have to live with them... What?

And I also didn't think they were repopulating at the end?? I was like how did that dinosaur get to the place where lions live from America??))

The whole vibe at the end was: ... If you let them out, that's it. Everything is changed for ever. Bullshit. I'm not even sure there are any breeding pairs, let alone a viable population.

I think it was less about the dinosaurs and more about the dangers of unchecked genetic engineering. Which was kind of the whole point of the original jurassic park book.

www.imdb.com/list/ls025720609/videoplayer/vi301644569I can't imagine anyone but Jeff Goldblum in the role, I think Depp was too young imo Edit: Isla Nublar began and ended with Brachiosaurus And what about the dinosaurs on Site B? One of the promos for Fallen Kingdom was the Dinosaur Protection Group posting grainy footage of the T-Rex in San Diego which wasnt in The Lost World which means that TLW is at least still canon

25 years old and the cgi has aged very well It's funny that the quality of the CGI isn't what makes the original film look dated so much as the look of the dinosaurs... Not enough feathers. Sadly they seem to have kept it that way for continuity's sake with the new films...

Well they stated in jurassic world the dinosaurs look the way they do because its what people expect them to look like. They kind of make fun of themselves for not being realistic.

Planning on checking out that Sicario movie tomorrow, seems to be super violent and what I need at the moment. I really enjoyed the first one, to the extent that one can enjoy something so bleak, but this.., No Emily Blunt, no Denis Villeneuve directing, no Roger Deakins cinematography... It stinks of a Hollywood cash-in to me.
