en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_OrvilleFrom Wiki: The Orville is an upcoming comedy-drama science fiction television series created by and starring Seth MacFarlane that is set to air Thursdays at 9:00 on Fox during the 2017–18 season. The Orville is set on the titular U.S.S. Orville (ECV-197), mid-level exploration starship. It is a one-hour live-action ensemble science-fiction comedic drama sitcom set some 400-years into the future, and can be thought of as a cross between Family Guy and Galaxy Quest. I'm actually quite excited about the all male species. This clip looks very promising! Looking forward to it! More clips:

I don't watch much TV anymore so will probably not remember to try it. McFarlane is sometimes hit or miss for me wrt writing funny gay comedy. Sometimes I laugh and sometimes it seems a bit tone deaf. I know that's his schtick but I'm not always in the mood for it. I would be interested to learn more about the all male aliens and how that's handled in the show.

Not really fond of MacFarlane humor, but I'll give it a watch! Sci fi comedy has been a thing lately. TBS's new People of Earth is another new sci-fi comedy.

The Orville is a lot more toned down than MacFarlane's usual humour, the first episode was mildly amusing, I heard the second one is a lot better
The all male species dude seems like a cross between Worf and Teal'c atm (apparently he has a husband)

I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes. the twist at the end of the second episode seemed pretty annoying, but we'll see how it plays out a I guess. Eh... but I'm really hating the idea of making the mono-gendered species have a female just 2 episodes in. It feels like they caved to some kind of homophobic bull shit. But there's probably more to the story (hopefully)

You guys have lots of baggage. Can we please move on already? And Charlize Theron was a bit of a gimmick. The Pria character wasn't all that well developed but we're supposed to be impressed because it's Charlize Theron? It's a good show but this last episode was pretty weak. Except for the "leg" practical joke. That was hilarious. Omg that leg joke killed me

Apparently Bortus' husband is Tyreese from The Walking Dead, so Tyreese ended up on The Orville and Sasha ended up on Star Trek Discovery
I thought Isacc's voice was familiar so I looked up his actor, hadn't heard of him before, last ep I watched I twigged why his voice sounded familiar, he's copying Data's voice and speech pattern

I loved that. Finally sexy blue man is used in sci-fi instead of blue boob obsession. win!
The newest episode was good too, and I'm actually a bit sad that the season is almost over.

I've really loved the last two episodes because they had huge character growth. This show is really growing on me.

I guess I didn't realize there was a thread for this show?? Anyway, I was happily surprised that they didn't make any deal at all that Ed actually had sex with the blue guy.

This weeks episode Love love love the idea of the fallout of violating the prime directive. You always hear it preached but it was awesome seeing it in action.
