I'm thinking animated feature films when it comes to Disney. I have a list... Beauty & the Beast - stylistically my favourite, and it's my favourite fairy-tale. Mulan - it has the best music, and Asians represent. Treasure Planet - no comment. Sword In The Stone - it wasn't really that great, but as an animator, Merlin was a delight to watch. Especially how he gesticulates with his hands. And if we're going on live-action Disney films, there's one missing from the list that is a cult favourite. Hocus Pocus.

I FRIKKIN LOVE HOCUS POCUS You and every other gay alive, tbh. I'm ashamed to admit I've never seen Hocus Pocus. I've only caught bits and pieces, but not much. Excuse me while I add it to my Amazon cart. Over the years, I think I've settled on Sleeping Beauty being my favorite. I have a massive crush on Prince Phillip and I love the medieval setting. Mary Costa has such a beautiful voice, the kind that you can't find nowadays. The entire voice cast did a wonderful job, honestly. The animation and music are just lovely and have a certain "charm" missing in modern films. I always love going back to Disney films. I often find the songs stuck in my head and I love singing along. Of course, I love so many others just as much as I love Sleeping Beauty. Mulan, Pocahontas, Little Mermaid, Snow White...there are too many to list! These films will always have a special place in my heart and I enjoy going back to them at least once every year or two. ...I totally voted for Anastasia in the poll. I don't think I've seen any of the other films listed. Anyway, Anastasia is a beautiful non-Disney film and I love it so much.

Also, at the risk of drawing ire, I do NOT like Pocahontas. I get super salty about how it whitewashes the real history, but I do laugh ironically when the British sail away and never bother the natives again. >__>

The heroine (I love her character design) and everything involving her family is great, Colors of the Wind is just marvelous. But I'm not too into this native woman supposedly falling for the perfect, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, white European guy, especially knowing all the centuries of terrible treatment yet to come. And now we know that Mel Gibson is an anti-Semitic twat, so there's that.

Anyway, my favorite animated Disney movies are Lilo & Stitch and The Emperor's New Groove. "Ordering! Three pork combos, extra bacon on the side, two chili cheese samplers, a basket of liver and onion rings, a catch of the day, and a steak cut in the shape of a trout...you got all that, honey?" "Three oinkers wearing pants, plate of hot air, basket of Grandma's breakfast, and change the bull to a gill. Got it." HE FORGOT THE CATCH OF THE DAY anyway this movie is the best

As a child I was a total Disney fan and still am today. I grew up during the 90's Disney "renaissance".
I love all those movies from this period including...
-Beauty and the beast -Aladdin -Little Mermaid -Pocahontas -Tarzan
Animated movies outside this time period that I really like.. -Artisocats -101 Dalmations -Lilo and Stitch -Emperors New Grove -The Rescuers
If we talk about live action movies... Hocus Pocus and Jungle 2 Jungle were my favorites as a kid. Still love them.

It's got to be the flat out funniest Disney movie for sure. Unquestionably. Nothing else came close until Big Hero 6. Sadly, there's only one musical number, and it's, um, not really that good. (It gets a reprise at the end, but still: nothing to write home about.)

Hocus Pocus is life, and I think I have lived long enough to see every year a fake rumor that a sequel is happening lol. The amount of times I rewatched hocus pocus on tv is ridiculous.

It makes me so happy to see Atlantis mentioned here! Kida deserves to be marketed as a Disney Princess. It was also the comedian Jim Varney's (who voiced Cookie) last film before his passing Treasure Planet deserves more love too, imo. I noticed it has a bit of a cult following, but it was such a bomb at the box office that it seems to have been largely forgotten. The concept of Treasure Island in space made it a visually stunning steampunk film. Though, I rented it at the library a few months back to rewatch it, and laughed at the "DVD games" provided that were so popular in the early 2000s

I don't think I've seen either Atlantis or Treasure Island since they were released when I was a kid. I should probably rewatch them. Adult me has a much bigger appreciation for the oddball Disney movies than for the musicals.

IMO, if any Disney movie deserves a live action remake, it's Atlantis. I only wish the underwater aspect had been played up more; I loved how terrifying the entire Leviathan sequence was in particular. People recently have been pointing to Frozen as the quintessential sibling/familial love Disney movie, but I personally kinda prefer Brother Bear in that regard. I think it's because, as an oldest child myself, I had an easier time relating to Brother Bear's story since it's written from an older sibling's perspective, while most of Frozen's is told from a younger sibling's. I also really like Alaska/Canada as a setting. I'd be remiss to not mention Mulan. Gorgeous animation, solid voice acting, good story that bucked a lot of typical princess trends, etc. It's easily my favorite Disney animated movie. Sap Warning Reflection became a brutal gut punch when I actually paid some attention to the lyrics, at a time when I was going through a really painful faith and identity crisis as a direct result of me coming to terms with my sexuality.
IMO, Reflection is the stuck in the closet song to Let It Go's coming out song.

If it had only been about an hour longer. They could spend a little more time on Leviathan and a lot more time in the City itself. I do agree, if any Disney movie deserved a live remake, it's Atlantis.

Currently I can really only think about Moana. It just was so refreshing to see a movie entirely driven by a female character who received and gave nothing but support to other women.
