My mind has been on Lilo And Stitch recently. I absolutely love the soundtrack and how Elvis is implemented into the film. I also really love the message/theme of family that the film delivers. It genuinely made me cry when I saw it again last year. It's a really good one. I haven't seen the sequels in quite some time, but I'd like to revisit it all again sometime in the next few months.

...Anastasia is totally a Disney Princess now LOL. Still it's a beautiful film that deserves more love. Anyway, I know Disney sequels get a lot of hate...but there were so many of them that were actually really good and I love! Like, Lion King 2 probably takes the top spot of my favorite Disney films and is just so underrated. There is also Pocahontas 2 with the perfect Disney Prince John Rolfe and Mulan 2 and its focus on love. Sure the original films are amazing as well but the sequels can stand with them and I will always prefer Lion King 2 and Pocahontas 2 over the first films and Mulan 2 is every bit as good as the first.

...HOW COULD FORGET TO MENTION...RETURN TO NEVERLAND! That's one that I definitely grew to love as I got older and I still love it to this day. And there is also the Return Of Jafar which I definitely prefer over the first Aladdin film!

The fact that Disney was so quick to shut down Luca as a gay/queer film says a lot about how much progress we have yet to make and the long battle we still face for representation in media. Luca would have been such a groundbreaking film if they openly embraced its queer themes instead of pushing it as a "non-romantic friendship story". It's so heartbreaking because I loved the film so much and to have two gay leads in such a big animated film would have been a HUGE step forward. </3
I don't care what they say, it IS a gay story to me.

It's very much a gay story! I also really enjoyed it.

This sea witch we modeled after Divine is a queer icon?? Waaahhhhhhtttt?” they also just recently shoved their whole foot in their mouth cause they said Cruella had their first gay character when they really hammered home LeFou in beauty and the beast being gay or bi or pan. And I haven’t seen that one yet cause I prefer animations but I’m pretty sure there’s no referring to the character as gay or whatever where as lefou had that dance or whatever. disney and it’s lgbtq fandom are weirdly in a complicated relationship for the year 2021.

So...not that I had much interest in it anyway but I stumbled across an article mentioning Lightyear would have a "significant LGBTQ+ moment" which got me curious to see if Disney would finally add a gay male in their animated films...but of course it turns out it's going to be another female couple...so...still waiting for the day where Disney/Pixar doesn't play it safe and only have female LGBTQ+ characters (as both Onward and Turning Red did) and actually includes us...they had their chance with Luca but of course we know how that ended up.
If I remember right there was going to be a more inclusive LGBTQ+ film by Pixar (?) that got scrapped (because of course it did) but I can't remember what it was.
