Hello. I previously created a thread specifically for mShenko fanfic here. However, I realize there is probably other great fanfics that getting lost within the general thread. At least, I miss them quite often. I think here would be a good place to post them so they they can be easily found for those who like to read this sort of stuff. Right now, I'm reading a mShenko fic called Suffocate. It takes place immediately following Horizon in ME2 and involves the Shepard Twins, Jane and John. It's an interesting take on the events of ME2 (and ME1, though we only hear about it to some extent). I encourage people writing those Ryder fics to post here. I'd love to see what's out there.

New Skill Set This one was written by the very talented bagog. I believe it's still a work in progress but has three chapters so far. It's post-Destroy with a married Kaidan and Shepard. They're raising a son named Shaun together. I'm so in love with this it's not even funny.

Five Letters to KaidanAuthored by Arke. All I can tell you is that I loved all seven chapters and that I cried non-stop through the last chapter. Well worth the read.

Soldier's HeartAuthored by Lemon (lemon_sprinkles). Rather than try to explain it, I'm just going with the description. "When the battle is over and the war is won, the soldier puts down his gun and returns to the life he had before; a life of peace and remembrance. But what happens to those who can't let go? Whose peace never comes and whose remembrance brings only pain and suffering? "Shepard struggles to regain his sense of personhood after years of constant warfare, his life irreparably damaged by what he saw and did. But all is not lost - not when he has the strength to ask for help." Thematically, it resonates with me, even to the point of having the strength to ask for help. I've had my own personal demons to deal with where certain people believed I ought to have just "pulled myself up by my bootstraps" instead of taking the the route that actually made a difference in my life - which required reliance on others. It's also a mShenko story, which makes me love it all the more.

I know most of you all probably don't read lots of fanfic but I'm still reading Soldier's Heart (post directly prior to this one). The first part of the story is 14 chapters. There are additional parts but they aren't necessary. What I can tell you is that it touched me so deeply that I was crying through most of it and not in a bad way. He deals with his first death and with the consequences of choosing the Destroy option. It's just such a moving story and I wish that jerk on BSN who constantly tells everyone they need to choose Synthesis because we all don't really understand Destroy would read this story. (BTW, if you like Synthesis, you've got my support, but I choose Destroy for the same reason the Shepard in this story does.) I cannot recommend this story enough.

I have a story set in the ME Universe featuring two marines. The two main characters are a couple. The initial story is set immediately after Shepard fires the Crucible. It has flashbacks to how they met and little bits over time. Someone requested more about the main characters so I made two stories, one about each, which lead directly to the beginning of the first story. Then there's a fourth, that I'm working on now, which covers the entirety of their relationship and switches POV between them. It does have some graphic sex scenes so beware of that. It can be found here: Alliance Marines. I also have other works on AO3, one original and others set within alt versions of the Marvel and DC universes. Those can be found here: Commander Ferro.

dmc1001 I really enjoyed reading that. It felt good, and it made me miss writing and the world of Mass Effect. Thanks, I needed that!

To me it's interesting watching their whole relationship develop in the fourth part. It will also flesh out the rushed ending of Part 1.

Well, I've never made a secret of my fic-writing, having posted announcements on my Ryder/Gil fics in the Gil thread, but... I have 39 fics for the trilogy, if anyone's looking for reading material to get them through a night or two.

I was hoping others would also post links to their stories here. I'm working part 4/4 of an Alliance Marines story. The main story runs roughly from 2184-2186. I think this is going to end up as the longest chapter and I'm still in 2184.
