When I saw the skin, my reaction was "Nice, he's hot." But then I heard the voice lines... And then I also noticed the horse half is wearing pink leather assless chaps, which might have actually been funny if it wasn't paired with those voice lines.
"Oh god! Hide! It's my boyfriend!!!"
That's the worst one. Not only are the voice acting and sound quality amateurish, it enforces the stereotype that gay men are incapable of fidelity (the implication is that he is cheating on his boyfriend and doesn't want to get caught).

The smite devs read like innocent (or rather, totally clueless) bigots to me, most of the time. This is far from the first incredibly culturally insensitive skin that they've made. They have lil' Mana, a Vamana skin that...well. Then with the goddess Chang'e that have not just one but two skins that caricature a cultural stand in. The Lunar Tango skin (above) goes around the battlefield calling out "my hips don't lie!" in an accented, nasally voice. The Moonlight Love skin (below) is voiced by the brown (usually white) bunny. It's a very deep voice, and some of the lines it delivers are as follows:
When Going to the store
Play Rabbit: "Aw yeah, baby. I got what you need! Maybe when I get back you can give me something of what I need too. Heheh..."
Play Rabbit: "You know it, baby. I gotcha!"
Play Rabbit: "You name it, baby. I got it!"

Dang. See, I've seen Smite come under fire for cultural insensitivity before, but I've only seen the artwork for their skins, which only tell part of the story. It's the voice lines that takes it to a whole new level. Saddest part is their fans are consuming all this thinking everything is fine because "it's a joke," and therefor doesn't need to be in good taste.

If it was just about the skin without the annoying voice, I would say it's a funny thing (you know, LGBT and rainbows and unicorns... yeah I get it). But the voice is insulting and unneccessary. It's neither funny nor artistic, nor innovative. Just stereotypical thinking and cringe worthy.

Agreed, and I was talking with Julie and mike tonight, and Julie made a good point. Even if some gay people are okay with this-stereotypes are still wrong and can be very harmful. I feel bad for gay kids and teens that may catch heat because of this caricature of our sexuality.

When I first saw it, I thought it was alright. I like unicorns, I like rainbows. But that trailer was painful.
Even putting stereotypes aside, the lines aren't funny and don't make any sense in context, and the voice acting just plain sucks.
Also the game looks boring to play.

It's not boring, imo. I've been playing a long time and I find it fairly challenging.
But several of the flavor skins are old skool offensive, and most of them racially so.
