Just came across with this thread in the official Obsidian forum, and like in BSN, it seems the thread is full of entitled straight people thinking of what it's best for lgbtq people, "it's ok to be gay but I want characters and personalities", "let politics out of this forum", "you have Bioware for that"...  I hope Obsidian wont make the same mistake than Larian (making straight characters with bi romances), and give us true bisexual characters (if they use all bi approach) or different set sexualities. I got the extensions a couple days ago and I'm super looking forward to Maneha flirting with Pallegina 😌😌 I didnt know Mahena flirts with Pallegina, see this is promising and a good start

I know it was probably unrealistic to think that BSN would be an outlier, but at this point it's rather boring seeing people clutch their pearls over the inclusion on non-straight people  I don't know what I feel more miffed about, the people who don't want lgbt characters at all, or those that do but think they should face oppression. I already know that it sucks to be gay, I don't need to see that in my video games. It kinda boggles my mind that people that can't seem to wrap their heads around LGBT characters just... existing. There's been little indication that sexuality is that much of a deal, from my knowledge. There is Valia - with their "women bear kids. No kids, no woman" thing - but that's all I can remember. The only reasons it makes sense for lgbt characters to face oppression, primarily because of their gender/sexuality, is because they're imposing the ideals of our world onto a fictional setting without actually thinking about who they developed. It's not unrealistic to think places won't have different attitudes towards non-straight/cis people, but that they think that including these people means there'll be some storyline about oppression and they'll closeted, or that societies at large will be automatically homophobic pisses me off and makes me want every nation to be a gay utopia out of spite  Buh, I really hate having this conversation all the time I got the extensions a couple days ago and I'm super looking forward to Maneha flirting with Pallegina 😌😌 I didnt know Mahena flirts with Pallegina, see this is promising and a good start Yeah it is. Obsidian seems very gay friendly.  That said, it's frustrating that all the lgbt rep in the game comes in the form of wlw with absolutely no visible mlm - apart from the PC in an early dialogue, potentially, and prostitutes, who are, well, prostitutes. Like I'm glad that Maneha exists, and that there are tons of opportunities for female PCs to flirt (and more) with female non-prostitute NPCs, but it makes me think again that wlw are only included cos it's potentially hot, but dudebros can't get off on mlm  I wish I could call dudes attractive and find come across men in relationships with each other, even if they are just backer made NPCs |

There is a gay couple in the DLC, but they are very easy to miss if you aren't checking everyone in a certain quest. It was a bit disappointing not encountering any gay couples or gay NPCs. I would've loved to have been able to flirt with some of the cute guys! Eder being bisexual in POE2 would definitely change the way I look at the game though....let's hope!!! Well, that's something I guess, and I suppose there isn't reasonably much more I can hope for. Maybe it's an indication that they realised it was weird there were no non-prostitute mlm in the base game, so the future might be brighter I'm seriously hoping that some (all? I don't wanna hope for all) of our companions are open to s/s relations, and not necessarily with the PC all the time. But I don't really know Obsidian so well, and I'm learning not to get too invested in game devs in regards to lgbt rep, but I always want to be proven wrong. Praying that we can all smooch who we wanna smooch  |

I'm probably not gonna go the multiclass route, though being able to shadow step over traps sounds hella cool, but that was a great look at how it's being handled. Though I cried when he didn't go more in depth in the character creator. I wanna know what godlike look like  |

The game doesnt really let you know when to start them, no...BUT what you said about doing WM1 after Act 2 seems like a pretty good point to start it. 1 is lower level than WM2 so it makes sense. WHATEVER YOU DO, do not attempt to do Siege of Cragholdt until youre lvl 13 and above. I DIED A LOT even then. It's a toughie. |

I was over-leveled at that point in the game for the DLC, so it was a nice change of pace being able to easily clear the crowds of enemies and bosses. It also made the DLC so much more enjoyable. The game gives you the option of scaling the difficulty to your level, but I didn't want to struggle anymore because the game was already difficult! But yeah....Pillars is great and I love Eder so much....I really want to romance him with my male character! I loved the DLC and there is a gay couple as well...which was nice considering the lack of gay men in the game! I miss this game so much! The soundtrack really takes me back. |
