None of the projects Lauren works on turn out to be bad though, she is mostly trying to help. (with the exception of that time she was tricked)
I liked that the show addressed the issues that Lauren & Bo have in their relationship. Lauren isn't poly but as a human she can't satisfy Bo's hunger on her own, so she needs to compromise. (although this was left to the wayside after the start of season 3)
They also have different personalities, ways of coping with challenges & solving problems but both are brave, smart and share a desire to escape their pasts, which is why neither of them talk about who they used to be.
Bo & Dyson are to similar for me and seem drawn to each other because they are both hot and tortured rather than anything else.

So the ending was pretty good. I'll keep my thoughts in spoilers of course. I really like that Bo doesn't actually chose between Lauren and Dyson as much as just ends up with both of them. I mean yes she is with Lauren at the end, but she will be with Dyson eventually. Kind of odd, but it works! I am really glad that Mark and Vex got together I was scared they were going to fuck that up. That was the one ship I really cared about, and sadly of course it didn't get much of any air time, but still at least I got my way. Tamsin dying for the 14th time was sad, but I guess she at least died for a sort of good reason. Though I guess the new sister story-line won't be continued anywhere though sadly. Still good way to keep the possibility of more story alive I guess-without filling too horribly unfinished.

I like Mark, he is kinda bratty when you first met him but with a good reason so I don't mind as much as I usually would.
My one issue with his romance with Vex is that there wasn't more of it. We see them flirting and then they get together at the end, I'd prefer it to have had more screentime since it is one of the few m/m romances in the show.
I wish they can gone the official poly romance route between Bo, Lauren & Dyson. The ending makes it seem like the Bo will hook up with Dyson again once Lauren is dead or otherwise not around, like he is waiting in the wings. I prefer it when everyone is honest about their needs and it would've been interesting to see Lauren work through her jealously issues about Dyson more.
I agree with you on the sister ending. It was a really clever way of wrapping everything up but leaving it open for another season if they got picked up again.

phantomrachieI agree that poly relationship would have been a better way to settle things. I mean she was already sleeping with both quite regularly anyway, and Lauren seem to be getting past her jealous nature a good bit. Also Dyson has the patience of a saint with her about her extra curricular activities-so yeah that would have been good. Honestly I felt like both of them lacked in areas where the other one filled in. Not sure if that makes sense, but if nothing else Dyson provided a more passionate and energy filled recharge sex-and Lauren challenged her mentally and kept her on her toes-something she needs for sure!
Mark and Vex was a very rushed romance for sure, and it's clear they didn't want things to be too gay on the show-as in m/m gay. For whatever reason that's still treated as much more taboo and it's just stupid. I hope that will eventually not be a thing. Also I sort of wish Vex would have been completely gay instead of bisexual, but what can you do? He's still an amazing character that I adore! (Vex romance for Dragon Age 4...joking mostly) It's been less then 24 hours and I'm already in Lost Girl withdrawal. Why isn't there more shows with fantasy elements and scoobie type gangs?

Wynonna Earp isn't a bad replacement, if you haven't watched it. Fantasy Western with a kick ass female main character, scooby gang & gay (though f/f not m/m) Shadowhunters is ok too, I haven't watched much (it is not as good as Wynonna Earp or Lost Girl) but it has angels & demon , witches & a m/m romance. It´s a pity m/m romances are rarer in these types of shows, it´s like there is a desire to be diverse but there is still a concern about scaring off straight guys so they stick with f/f romances. A weird compromise IMO cos women are the primary viewers of shows like this & if the popularity of yaoi has told us anything it's that women have no issue with m/m romance nor would the type of guy of watches these shows. that is an interesting point about Lauren & Dyson each fulfilling different needs for Bo. I never thought of it in those terms. Makes me double sad they didnt go for the poly romance.
Of course it is very easy to headcannon it since they were practically there already.

I have watched Wynonna Earp's first season and loved it. I missed the first of season 2 cause my dvr lost all its subcriptions, and directv is hard to set up with those till they actually are about to start airing new episodes sometimes. sigh...I'm hoping I can get caught up when season 2 hits netflix though. I tried Shadow hunter and I felt lost. I kind of get worn out by shows that start in the middle of a story and explain the actual plot a little at a time. I miss stories having a less complicated start! Oh well, I do want to check it out eventually for the gay. I remember the gay wizard/warlock/whatever the fuck he's called was hot. (I'm too shallow I know)

For somthing much lower budget there is the Carmilla web series on YouTube. It is far better than it has any right to be for a YouTube web series

FInished season 3, forgot how good it was cos I had mixed up eps of season 4 with it. Probably the best season, as there is not a bad episode.

It's season 4 that-honestly I'm shocked they got a fifth season considering how bad season 4 is. Glad they did though since season 5 was much better.

I mean there is a character there but there are sure taking their time. Also for the gay angel type of show, Midnight Texas. Not sure if it safe from all the stupid tv tropes but there is a couple there.

It's season 4 that-honestly I'm shocked they got a fifth season considering how bad season 4 is. Glad they did though since season 5 was much better. season 4 is mostly bloody terrible, I'll probably skip chunks of most of the episodes, so I get enough to remember what happens. The Hale & Kenzi parts are nice & anything with Tam Tam, but there is alot of awful. My major issue with it is that it´s full of fake outs, which I hate when they get over used. And there is a ton of stuff from season 3 that kinda gets ignored, the Fae elders basically declared war on their claimed humans but it only seems to affect Kenzi and even then barely and then it´s kinda forgotten about.
Then there is the whole stupid plot of Bo going Dark & getting the audience to think Rainer might be her dad but no he is just a hotboy she went dark for so she´d come looking for him, it is so convoluted.
As silly as the whole greek gods thing in season 5 got, IMO it looked clever in comparison to some of the rubbish in season 4.
