Hope is rising! I wonder what Bioware thinking right now. Before this they are Leader on this subject and when they drop it, another big studio (not one but two) pick that torch. Bioware: Human trash gamerbros constantly bad mouth us because of our optional female protagonists and our optional same-sex romances. Let's just get out of the RPG business. Seemingly every other studio: Wow, Bioware RPGs have a super loyal fanbase because of their optional female protagonists and optional same-sex romances. We should start targeting those demographics by incorporating those ideas into our RPGs.

OMG I love this movie so much! I know it's not that "deep" of a movie but the actions in it are just purely awesome! And I love how she says "watch me" Ahh! Yay! It's hard to find people who even watched Ultra Violet, let alone actually like it. I love it too. Its definitely not some groundbreaking "Titanic" masterpiece but it was a fun movie with super cool effects. I wish that hair color transition was actually a thing. I LOOOOOOVED IT back in the day, still obsessed with this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Milla was so gorgeous as Violet

So, after basically no lgbt representation in mainstream games, we've got Assassin's Creed and Cyberpunk allowing us to romance people regardless of gender. And TLOU2 showing a kiss between Ellie and a girl at their presentation? What is even happening? I'm honestly kinda bewildered right now.
Have a hastily edited Expanse gif y'all. Fingers crossed that Malinowski's tweet pans out.

Well this is interesting. I’m still very skeptical because that tweet has multiple questions imbedded and the response was just a single word. But, for now, I’m ready to pay attention to this game. Tentatively until male/male is officially confirmed explicitly. I’m still a little nervous that V can be straight or a lesbian but not a gay dude. Until they call it out specifically, I will still be a little leery.

Double posting because I just found this: www.eurogamer.net/a.rticles/2018-06-13-we-watched-50-minutes-of-uncut-cyberpunk-2077-gameplay-and-interviewed-cd-projekt-about-itGreat article with this throwaway line in the interview at the bottom: ”You can play as a man or a woman. Does the game play significantly differently depending on whether your V is a man or a woman? Is the story significantly different? Are the romances different? Patrick Mills: Certainly the romances will be different. While many of the characters you can romance in our game are bisexual, not all of them are. They have preferences as well. We want them to feel like living people with histories. In terms of how the story changes, we don't want to reveal too many story details, but there will be differences” It’s still not a 100% confirmation that m/m is included but it sounds pretty fucking close to that. Okay, CD Projekt, I apologize for doubting you and look forward to seeing if your games are really as ‘god tier’ as the dudebros claim!

Well, this kinda put the game appear on my radar now (although I'm usually not that big of a first-person fan) xD

I'm still gonna hold out for the details before I buy this for sure, cause usually the ones who "just makes sense to be straight" are the ones I go for.
But it sounds like they are including quite a few options. Kinda curious just how shallow or how deep these relationships go, but again, will reserve judgement one way or another until more details emerge. The game's on my radar for sure now though.

Okay, CD Projekt, I apologize for doubting you and look forward to seeing if your games are really as ‘god tier’ as the dudebros claim! I have concerns that the 'main' ones you meet who may possibly have more impact will be the straight ones. Like, if there's only straight or bi flirts/romances one group will always end up with more choice once again. I'm definitely going to have to wait for more details because the choices are going to have to be god tier to get me to play a first person game (how would romance even work in just first person?) I'm intrigued but going to keep my hype low, I just can't shake off the concerns considering who the makers of this game are.

ah, not all bi then. That's disappointing. I'm sure there will be no exclusive gay male options either-though generally I have horrible luck with those anyway.

Cyberpunk will probably have cinematic and animated scenes for kisses or sex. And for talking with characters I don't need third person per se (I guess it would change to face to face conversations in dialogue scenes anyway), but I understand why people prefer it. I actually prefer it too. But my experience is, that romance also works with FPP. I think more important is th quality of the romance itself.

Base on what you said. I am glad that most of romance option is Bi but not all. All bi is easiest way but it a bit cheap/lazy in my opinion. Hope bi option will have some different between Male/female PC & I wish for handsome gay to my V at least one option.

I played most of Fallout and Skyrim in first person because it helped in combat. But outside of combat I liked to switch to third person. I like to see my character, especially if there's customization. On top of that, first person only just gives me motion sickness after a while. I'm not counting the game out just yet, I do like what we've seen in the trailer but I'd need to see gameplay and other things (including romance choices) before I decide to pick it up. I've tried too many games before that were first person only and I had to give up because it made me feel so uncomfortable.

You must remove the point (.) in a.rticles, then the links works fine. : ) I think the best approach for me is all characters being bisexual, but with different preferences. Some characters should equally love men/women, others should prefer one gender or the other (als long as it's not always the opposite gender). And some characters shouldn't openly flirt with other characters at all and be more privat about love and affection. One can actually tell many great and different storys about bisexuals. Problem is, however, that most devs make the bisexual male characters straight-but-gay-for-you. Or they are always the same, no matter which gender you play. I think Bioware did a really great job with Jaal in this regard after the patch came out. Romancing hm with Scott felt different from Sara, but it wasn't less quality. But that's just my personal opinion of course.

And sometimes I can't even walk 15 minutes through skyrim or the commonwealth, bevore I feel sick. But I always found the third person perspective in Bethesda games so annoying that I swallowed the pill and changed to first person. Maybe, we're lucky and they'll add a third person in Cyberpunk, but I wouldn't count on it. I just hope, the romances will be great for everyone. That's most important for me. I agree with you, hopefully we see more gameplay and dialoge scenes soon. I actually have a good feeling about Gameplay and choices after what I read. I just hope the romances can keep pace with it.

But that's just my personal opinion of course. Agreed, we definitely need more Jaal's when it comes to bi romances and less Kaidan's (i.e equal amount of romance like Jaal had even if things might be slightly different) rather than the complete gutting of the romance MShep had with Kaidan compared with FShep.) Though at this point I'd happily take a bi guy who talks openly about loving/preferring guys because it's not like we've had it before. Poor Anders bisexuality gets completely cut out if romancing FHawke, Zevran is all sorts of uncomfortable awkwardness depending on dialogue options taken, and Iron Bull only ever talks about the servant girls unless he hooks up with Dorian. I suppose Reyes has the thing in his mail about having better taste in men than woman, but given the horrible animations he got, that's hardly a bonus, and even Jaal only really flirts with other female companions. Romances really need to be fair and whilst they can be a bit different (though no less loving, hint hint Bioware initially cutting out Kaidan's 'I love you' that FShep got) it needs to feel that you don't miss out regardless of what gender you romance them with, one gender shouldn't feel more 'right' than others. (I remember being told way back when that Bull fit 'better' with a woman) like ugh, I'm tired of that shit.
