I haven't bought it yet but I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. This game is RP-ish. I'm torn on spending the $45 on it. Steam gives it mixed reviews but other reviews I've read online rate it higher. You'd almost expect it to get a discount for Halloween but since it literally just came out I can see why that wouldn't happen.
Anyone have any input on this game? If you've played it, what's your opinion?

Most reviews I've seen have said that it's a pretty good detective game and Lovecraftian mystery story, but it's not a very good survival horror game. I've heard good things about Conarium and Darkwood if you're looking for something Lovecraftian for Halloween season.
Personally, I'd love to see a Delta Green CRPG and/or a Cthulhu Mythos game that didn't primarily rely on Cthulhu or Deep Ones as the main antagonistic force; it'd be nice to see video games based on Lovecraft's work treading some less familiar ground.

Vy Conarium was on my list and I totally forgot about it, got to transfer it from txt to steam wishlist or something. So thanks! Just in time before the sale ends. Call of Cthulhu looks great, but it's too expensive for now.

I have Conarium. According to Steam, I played it for 22 minutes. Don't remember why. I guess I'll have to give it some more time. Could me that my prior laptop died and I just never got are to reinstalling it.

Game is decent. My sticking point is that you only get save points rather than the ability to save at any time.
