Think I'm nearing the end of vanilla witcher 3. Looking forward to this legendary blood and wine expansion. Also Ciri is growing on me a lot. Only a few missions done in Blood & Wine, it's so bloody big but what I've played so far is terrific. Dipped briefly back into Wolfenstein II over the weekend, this game is fuckin' mad, case in point... I lost my head but that's no big deal, the gang will re-attach it with a new bod they have lying around, lmao! I lost my head but I still live lmao

I finally got around to finishing the next game in my backlog: Star Wars Republic Commando. Man, that was an excellent game, and now I'm peeved that it never got any sort of sequel.
The plot was...bare bones, but the characters really carried it. I fell in love with Delta Squad almost immediately; they had some great banter and I wish I could've seen more of them.
On the gameplay side, I was kind of irritated by the game's "bullet sponge" approach to difficulty. Personally, I would've made the game harder by reducing the TTK on both the enemies and the player, encouraging careful use of cover and firing short, accurate bursts instead of dumping entire magazines into a single opponent to take them down - kind of like Counter Strike, actually. As is it felt like a slower-paced squad-based Halo Combat Evolved - competent and enjoyable most of the time, but clearly there was a lot of room for improvement.
Still, it was a good glimpse at what could've been a really good series of games, but now that EA's got the license I imagine it'll remain the only Star Wars game of its kind.

Welp, my FF14 character has ditched summoning fiery minions in favor of cold cold machines. What I lack in dps I make up for in style.

So I finished Loren, and it was okay. I have to admit the experience was largely tainted by spending time on the official board for the games. It became clear quite quickly that the devs there are not making the gay content for actual gay men. It's more for the yaoi peeps. All the gay male characters are that type sadly. Loren has some good m/m content-but It seems like it might be the only game that does.

After over a year (and no answer from EA support) since MET got green light for xbox one backward compatibility, being too tired to wait for ME2 Lair of the Shadow Broker and 1 or 2 more DLCs that are blocked where I live (seriously, EA, if you could unlock all DLCs for Dragon Age, I see no reason why wouldn't you do the same for Mass Effect 2!!!)... I bought the whole trilogy with ALL DLCs on PC (Origin) and I'm starting this journey from the beginning... Still Zelda & Skyrim on the Switch and War Table DAI on xbox one.

A few more Diablo observations: Robin Atkin Downes did several voices in the game, including the male Demon Hunter. It can be a little hard to hear his voice knowing that he's gone. I've missed Blizzard's sense of humor. For example, a rare monster you can find in Act 1 is called "Dataminer" with the title underneath "Uncoverer of Secrets." A monk claw called Logan's Claw. Other things like that. Blizzard got a lot of grief when D3 was first shown for being "too colorful." I personally really like the change and it doesn't detract from the gameplay. In fact, there is something to be said about seeing all of those chunks and icky monsters in bright color. However, some folks accused Blizzard of making the game "too kiddy." So they decided to be smartasses about it. They created Whimsydale and Whimsyshire. See, throughout Diablo 3, there are these mobs called "Treasure Goblins." The goal is to kill it before it disappears into a portal. They also love to lead you on a merry chase through ever damn angry mob in the area. They come in different types, including cosmetic pets (picks up gold for you) gem and gold exclusive ones. Then, there is the Rainbow Goblins. When you kill them, they open a rainbow colored portal you can go into. Welcome to Whimsydale. You will find yourself in a very very colorful world, complete with rainbows, pots of gold and literal loot pinatas. The minimap looks like a 5th grader drew it on a piece of lined paper. They have a classical score turned into 8 bit sound and played backwards. The mobs have all been turned into flowers, teddy bears and yes, ponies. Yes, they put in a mob that has the title of "Nightmare is Magic" as well. The thing is, you want to get there. The loot you can get is utterly insane and some of the largest amounts in the game. You will have to go back to town at least twice to keep your bags empty enough. It's awesome and I love it. The other place requires a lot of luck and a very annoying fetch quest chain to get. I'm trying to get the last piece now, but considering it has (according to Blizzard) an 0.85%-5% chance of dropping, I'm not holding my breath. Not to mention that the dungeon it's in is randomized and doesn't always show up. I love how Blizzard handles useless whining from their fans.

I've started playing The Technomancer again!!! I feel like I'm back where I belong. I was immediately drawn back into the world. It felt so good starting up the game, and that main theme! It's just so beautiful! I've made quite a bit of progress. I've met Niesha and Andrew already and paid more attention to Andrew's introduction this time, haha. I really love the game's aesthetic and atmosphere, complimented so well by the soundtrack. It feels like a large world, yet it's actually a pretty decent size and not brought down by pointless fetch quests like most open world games. It was like I never stopped playing - I remembered the layout of the maps quite well and use the map much less often. I did forget how unforgiving the combat could be if you aren't prepared though! Overall it's been great being in this world again and it just reminded me of why I have a lot of love for this game. I am having so much fun and I can't wait to get my companions again and start romancing Andrew.

Still playing For Honor, the Test your Metal event was pretty fun...even though it got frustrating (the Bosses got stronger after every win and each week with this week being a face off against Apollyon, Gudmundr, and Tozen 1 & 2). I think I had the most trouble with Gudmundr because his health pool was MASSIVE, and in week 3 he would occassionally auto regenerate small amounts of health. Also been playing Shadow of War, 3rd playthrough now...I wanted to see if earning the special orcs and troll from the Eltariel expansion would carry over and it seems like they don't. But whatever lootcrates you earn, and don't open, from previous playthroughs will. I honestly really dislike the prologue/Act 1 of the game since it just takes sooo long to get from there into the main game of just finding cool orc and troll buddies and just interacting with them, but I do like the Arena Fight near the end of Act 1, since you fight a Troll (playthrough 2 and 3 was a troll with the Pure as his title while playthrough 1 gave me a troll with the Suspicious title), 2 orcs from Minas Ithil (one of them from playthrough 2 just should up in his underwear! which I found Hilarious), and then you fight your nemesis from the 1st game (Seems like they get a random class since Dush was a Slayer in playthrough 1 and then a Trickster in Playthrough 2, the random class goes for your follower too). It's so much better to have a nemesis that can speak since he'll mention having fought you before, in my 3rd playthrough Humgrat the Diseased mentioned how all their little feints and dance are finally culminating into this final dance in front of a cheering crowd. I'll do this 3rd playthrough, and wait for the Baranor DLC in May. Then I'll do a Shadow of Mordor playthrough to have a new follower (hopefully he'll be an orc voiced by Steve Blum), and a new Nemesis. Then I'll carry them over into a 4th and final playthrough of Shadow of War. I'll also post pics, once I get a new laptop.

Been reading some of the support conversations for Fire Emblem and I am a little surprised there isn't a female bi option in Conquest considering how one of the female character's there openly drools over and flirts with women. Anyone know if this is a localization thing or if it was like this in the original game.
I'm aware of the male bi character in Conquest and female bi character in Birthright (though given the character herself I think she should have been a Corrinsexual character). I am just surprised that a character so enamored with women can't be paired with women.

Though it was changed a bit in localisation but that also upset some people linkI think the more I see of that petting thing they cut out of our release-the more I'm glad they did. It looks kind of disturbing. I really enjoyed the story that we were given for what it's worth. So yeah huldradancer it sucks that you have to buy at least 2 of the paths to have both of the bi options, and that you only have access to both in one of the 3 paths. Nintendo tried-but the way they did it was pretty grody. Also, the f/f option being more of a stalker than a love interest was kind of scary! Though I actually married her with my guy on my first run, cause I didn't have a gay option and I wanted to unlock all the content. Should have played as a girl, but eh...you live and you learn!

I haven't finished awakening yet, but I played enough to see her. It's pretty lazy how they copied a lot of the same characters for the sequel. Though, it was neat that they brought some of the kid characters over as themselves. Though it doesn't really all quite make sense if you think about it too much. I guess Fire Emblem really takes advantage of saying there are many versions of the same universe. lol

I really enjoyed them though the support system is diffrent and the main character isn't player created. The Wii one technically has a few endings which people can get together though not to the level of the 3ds games
