I feel your pain Lee. I'm in the middle of recruiting all the children characters and grinding thier supports. I think I'm on chapter 22 in Revelations, still figuring out which offspring unit to marry my lady Corrin off to. Saizo's son Asugi and Shiro (Ryoma's son) always looked interesting to me. Though I always marry one of the first gen husbandos cause they are just more interesting generally and I get 2 kids. lol! The only male second gen guy I married so far though is Shigure. After playing the 4th path (DLC what if story) I felt inspired to dig into his character by seeing his supports and such. He's really quite a nice romance.

I was planning on Shrio originally so Kana could have blonde hair (I paired Ryoma up with Elise cause fracking adorable) but boyfriend vetoed it. Well honestly he just said I could find a more sweet romance. Shigure is super tempting but I was gonna have Kana date Shigure's sister. Then again I'm likely to do some accidental insest pairings eventually. Also I've titled my male runs "All in the Family" so I guess I don't mind too much about keeping the royal blood strong with some inbreeding. 😄

well the good news is Corrin is only really related to Azura. (and of course her/his sister that is a cute little dragon) Being cousins Though doesn't stop him from marrying Azura though.

So I finished all the kid quests and I finished chapter 20, 21, 22, and 23 today. 5 chapters left before I'm donezo with Birthright (Fire Emblem fates). Part of me wants to go directly into revelations again-but then I remember just how many kids there are in that path and I think maybe I should play something else next. lol! Still I can already tell I'm going to be sad with how birthright ends as usual.

Finished another 2 games. Gothic Oh boy, this did not age well. If someone's unfamiliar with the series - it's basically German TES. The first two competed with Morrowind and the third one came out shortly after Oblivion. You play as the nameless hero and are thrown into a prison colony surrounded by a barrier. And then stuff happens. I'm not going to go into details, because I mostly want to criticise the game So, as I've said around the time Piranha Bytes was promoting Elex, there's almost no women in this world. I actually said none in G1, but there's 6 (someone counted it as being 5,9% of all named characters). They are all in night gowns and all say the line "you're not allowed to talk to us." They either fan one of two maniacal strongmen or clean the floor. There's also Mud, who's an annoying NPC the game encourages you to kill. He makes comments about being there (i.e. a prison colony) because he "likes animals" and he tells the male hero to rest in his bed (together) and to go to "talk or...something"... Yep. And because everyone in the camp hates him, you get no punishment for killing him. Weirdly, Gothic 2 also has a gay subplot, but it's not negative this time. But I'll have to replay it to see it again. The series is significant for one other reason - Gothic influenced Witcher a lot. A lot of people from TW worked on localising the Gothic games and the money from the sales made Witcher possible. Quite notably, they liked the defined voiced male protagonist. They mostly took from it mechanics like NPCs and monsters having daily routines and such, but you see the less positive aspects as well, including "kill the gay deviant," and "look at the half-naked ladies." --- Dreamfall The Longest Journey I finally replayed this and can move to Chapters (yay). It's a sequel to TLJ, you play as Zoë, Kian, and April, investigating the mystery that spans two worlds. It's a 3D adventure game from 2006, and I'm surprised at how well it aged. The story is great, the characters fleshed out. The puzzles are pretty simple, so don't expect a challenge. TLJ was more demanding in that aspect. There are 3 negative things about it. Combat is terrible. I don't know, what they were thinking, but it's really stiff and annoying. You'll want to avoid it, and thankfully you can in many situations. Second, the face models and animations range from someone like Zoë to something like this But the game is otherwise pretty, especially given its age And the third minus is voice acting. They have some awesome VAs, but it's incredibly inconsistent. You can have characters like Zoë or Crow, who sound really great, and then there's Kian, whose delivery is wooden, or Na'ane, who sounds like she was doing this first time and was recorded with a cellphone mic. There's also the issue of a very big VA turnover between games. Even Zoë got a different VA, which will be hard for me to get used to, I like her a lot. But Kian got an upgrade to Nick Boulton, so I'll take it Lastly, there's this little gem. The game has some surprising funny moments So I recommend it. TLJ was a pain to play, but Dreamfall didn't really cause issues. Just watch a video summarising TLJ's story.

Played some Endless Space 2 over the weekend in anticipation of the new DLC, I love the game, but good lord does it suck your time away. Pretty sure I had a few things that I had to do this weekend... Trying to make an alliance with Horatio is still a recipe for disaster. The Sophons are so wonderfully loyal, eventually I may even get a game where they aren't at the bottom of the scoreboard. For now though I'm just happy terraforming planets and inevitably winning via trade routes with my lovely tree people.

I'm almost done with Mega Man X1 (7 more games to go after that so much mega man!) Um, I am experiencing the screen glitch I saw other people complaining about on gamefaqs though.
For whatever reason sometimes the screen starts glitching and it won't stop bouncing/flickering till I change the settings on the tv (doesn't seem to matter which setting I change even) then it'll be fine for an hour or so...but then it'll eventually happen again till I switch settings again. I hope that gets patched soon whatever the hell it is. lol

The lovely tree-people Unfallen are pretty nice. There is some calmness when playing them where you just want to make friends with everyone. With that said, Horatio and Lumeris are likely to betray you, especially if you have star systems that they want or your military is weak. Alliance with Cravers is just very rare, as it is impossible to make if their leading political party is miliarist. What are other factions you are looking into playing next? Vaulters have been my very favorite/

Was thinking of giving the United Empire a try... for completely valid reasons (the coat).
Ya know what playstyle I really miss in this game though, is a Cultist/Venice from civ 5 style of play. No expansion, just building vertically. Not sure you could do it in this game really, But that's the playstyle I usually enjoy the most.
You do need to expand pretty aggressively in this game, but less so if you can build an alliance with someone else who's got a huge empire, which is why I usually TRY to go for Horatio, cause he expands pretty damn fast.

Well gave the empire a shot, will probably play it a bit more going forward (had to stop to go to sleep). Tried to go a more peaceful "industrial" way, but I am so very weak. And you get a specific hero for choosing military options... "Hadri was been at your side for 30 as your sworn protector" Got it. Secret lover. I'm not made of stone!

Still stuck on cheesey romance apps. Been saving screen shots like crazy to show my guy them later given that he was really eyeing some of the boys the app had to offer. It's really oddly fun that him and I can bond over cute boys together like that.

That tweet speaks for my progress, but just in case it doesn't show-I beat Mega Man X2. I'm really excited for x3 now as it's my personal favorite!
