A little thread for those who have gaming channels on Youtube and Twitch. What do you play? How do you play it? Why record it?
My channel is Gayming 101. The name seemed like a good idea at the time.
It began as it means to continue, primarily a format for me to rewatch story based games with branching options since with Mass Effect for example you can have a lot of different combinations and it saves the time of replaying the games from scratch just to see the cutscenes.
It branched out to games that don't have gay romances out of me wanting to populate the channel with my varied interests and sometimes just boredom and wanting to do something since it is a fun hobby recording and editing.
PC and capture card 3DS are my platforms of choice and I don't monetise my videos or anything like that. Too much hassle and for me I feel it would stop being fun if I became tethered to needing to meet a quota of content.

I'm jealous you have a 3DS capture card! I use the Elgato one for the console games. My channel is currently on a hiatus ever since Andromeda released lol, but you can check it out here: www.youtube.com/user/sonicphotoPlayed a couple of games, did a few stop motions, did some reviews, etc. I been on hiatus as I'm contemplating and evaluating what content I want to deliver into the future, and to get some things in my life straighten out cuz it was quite time consuming but I'll be back eventually! |

Yes I squeaked in and got a Loopy capture card about a week or two before he vanished again. Because Loopy is the only one you should buy, avoid katuskity at all costs. Currently wondering what method I'd have to use for Switch recording and how to go about that if the next Pokemon games end up on there. Just so hard to work out what Nintendo are planning with dedicated handheld.
I'm waiting to add Andromeda to my channel until this mythological m/m patch since I will be Gilmancing I don't want any of the cutscenes to change after I make my episodes.

Yes I squeaked in and got a Loopy capture card about a week or two before he vanished again. Because Loopy is the only one you should buy, avoid katuskity at all costs. Currently wondering what method I'd have to use for Switch recording and how to go about that if the next Pokemon games end up on there. Just so hard to work out what Nintendo are planning with dedicated handheld. I've got a youtube channel hereIt's mostly just some online matches in the Dead or Alive 5, Bloodborne boss fights, my Silent Assassin Suit Only runs in the recent Hitman game (normal difficulty), and more recently I've added some of my Injustice 2 and Tekken 7 matches. Since I'm not doing this regularly, and just for fun, I just use the PS4's share feature (uploaded my Xbox 360 DOA 5 replays to my facebook to be able to transfer them to my Youtube). |
