It's hard to believe I played through the game again just recently-it always feels like it's been forever ago. Jaal I just can't get enough of you love. -huggles obiwancomeblowme- Good to see you posting dear!

I remember when someone found this scene by messing around with the game and i was like "ummm, what was that about Jaal never being bi?"

Yes, indeed. It was also incredibly obvious because of the lack of ability to attempt to flirt with him. You can have an unsuccessful flirt with Liam, so it really stood out with Jaal.

Yeah, I really would like to know for sure if it was cut for time or if it was removed for politics as it was suggested by the rumors that leaked out before launch. I really have a hard time being okay with either, but the later is pretty damning if true. So I have to hope it's not. Either way, I'm glad we have the romance completed and in the game now. (me talking to the biphobes)

Was it Suvi's writer that had to fight for her sexuality? I vaguely remember something along those lines.

The people in charge were pushing hard for her to be bi cause one of the testers wanted to romance her apparently (that's just a rumor but seems to fit the rest of the clues that build the narrative). It got pretty far into things too, since the official guide launched with a picture of Scott in the romance scene with her. It's very embarrassing just how little care they gave to the lgbt community.

However, they do have a fear of outright homosexuality, particularly in squadmates. Kind of amazing that Gil got made at all.

It takes away from the heart of the concept that they have been trying to shove on us though-that sexualities should be unique and that there should be a representation of all of them. If she would have been bi-everyone but F/F would have had at least 1 exclusive romance at launch (straight males had 2 Cora and Avela (waste of resources but whatev), straight women had 2 at launch Jaal and Liam, and we had Gil...shrug). So yeah it would have been a major issue for many people.

Women are lucky they had a champion fighting for them-the gay men had no such champion sadly.

I'm not convinced I'm ending up with Jaal. I did his LM properly, went to meet his family, saw his old projects...but it just doesn't fully feel right. Maybe that's normal. Hope I'm not missing anything. I know that, despite my massive flirts with Gil, that one is pure friendship. Guess I always have Reyes as backup...

That's the point he asks if you want to be together as a couple normally. If not, something went wrong.

No, he didn't ask if I wanted to be with him as a couple.
