No, he didn't ask if I wanted to be with him as a couple. How many of the flirts did you take, and the friendship flirts did you take those?

Does that maybe come after Meridian? It takes place after you do the mission where you take the Remnant city from the Kett (and discover the Jardaan created the Angarans). You get an email to meet him on Aya, and you go to aya to talk to him and it takes you to the lake. Edit: I pm'd you cause I noticed in the other thread that you blew up the kett facility. I think I might know the issue you are having possibly. But I'll wait to see if you killed Akksul or not.

Sir Drell: I talked with Lee on PM so I'm addressing you here. I messed up. Way back when, Reyes didn't count as a "real" romance. Now he does. So I had my fling with Reyes and it prevented me from pursuing Jaal. I'll be more careful next time. I could just go back to an earlier save but there's so much I feel I missed out on that it'll be worth it to do a full replay. I think I do appreciate Jaal a lot more, though not sure I'll be able to resist Gil in successive runs. That one part at the end of his LM where Scott and Jaal hold there heads together - that's just some great stuff there. Loved seeing that. It felt more real than a lot of other things I've seen.

I think I am still not ready to see that movie cause of the straight thing. I don't know how many more straight romances I can set through at this point. Maybe if it comes to netflix I'll give it a whirl.

Oh you mean Thane who IS bisexual but they just cut it out? Like almost every fucking BioWare man? Homophobic garbage. it would be so cool a trilogy remaster with all the bi content restored, restoring bi Kaidan in ME1 is just a minimum. Ashley, Jack who is bisexual but only can be romanced by dude ( ) and Thane should be bi-restored. Women would have their human squadmate, and we would have an alien and human, and options in the three games. I would pay to see dudebro's and straightLadiesTM's vomit lol Tali/Miranda/Jacob have bi content, but they can keep Jacob though About Miranda, there's something so gross and wrong that the perfect woman as she often call herself (genetically speaking) being straight... ME's story is full of shit tbh

Was it Suvi's writer that had to fight for her sexuality? I vaguely remember something along those lines. Yes. The people in charge were pushing hard for her to be bi cause one of the testers wanted to romance her apparently (that's just a rumor but seems to fit the rest of the clues that build the narrative). It got pretty far into things too, since the official guide launched with a picture of Scott in the romance scene with her. It's very embarrassing just how little care they gave to the lgbt community. Higher-ups also wanted to make Vetra straight.

I suspect they thought that 2 asair bi's and 1 bi non-squad would have been far more than enough even if that one asari is not even a half romance. It's disturbing just how bad things actually are in the launch version of the game, and even worse knowing it would have been even sadder had Vetra/Suvi's writer not be strong in her allegiance F/F fans. It's too bad we had no one fighting for us pre-launch. Then again-maybe we did. Who knows-maybe it could have been somehow even worse for us-though I shudder to think how.

I think Sheryl Chee was picking her battles on the basis of if she hadn't fought for Vetra and Suvi, it really would be worse for F/F fans than even the M/M. Like, the options would be down to two bi ladies (three if we include Keri) with no lesbian at all, while gay guys still would have had Gil, still actually had representation. And it still boggles my mind that we were even in this position. Like... FUCKING INQUISITION! It won Game of the Year, and it had not just half the romances gay or bi, but the gay guy was routinely praised! I... I don't understand why there was this MASSIVE backslide, especially considering that BioWare KNOWS this is a major audience, hell, they advertise themselves as such. And... It's not even like you can blame EA on this - everything I've heard says that EA was pretty hands off on this. The best 'explanation' I have is the same reason that Star Trek took the better part of fifty years to acknowledge the existence of same-sex relationships, or that Star Wars is (aside from the books and The Old Republic) devoid of them. Which, I don't know WHAT to call that (I mean more specifically than homophobic)...

I suppose the Vulcan in me just wants some explanation that's more rational. Like... What the fuck, how do you get to this point, how do you let this happen, WHY do you let this happen, there should be something that makes more sense than this just being because you hate gay people! I know there frequently isn't, but I feel like there SHOULD be, that there should be an explanation that reveals that yes, we can find understanding and fix things.

No i mean it's this mixed in with other reasons, they obviously didn't make this game with the sole goal of hurting gay people, but there's most likely some form of homophobia in their actions.

Honestly, there was a general lack of care. Disinterest can be just as damaging as hate sometimes. I feel that honestly, that's what happened. They just didn't give a shit.

Not malicious per se but they didn't care enough. Now, that said, I think if they hadn't squandered their time with 3-1/2 years of procedurally-generated planets that they never used we might have gotten something better. At crunch time, the things they didn't really care about were poorly handled.

Happy birthday to Andromeda, and still glad I got to play this game and get to know the character Jaal who turned out to be my favorite romance-even if 3 months late!
