It's pretty much impossible for me to romance anyone other than Jaal. I do have Suvi, Liam, and Reyes romance games, but every new game I start is Jaal Jaal Jaal. I don't think I'll ever get around to trying Vetra or Peebee's romances, though I really am not that interested in those 2 anyways so I guess no loss.  I know what you mean. I keep thinking I'll do a Sara run and romance Vetra or Suvi-but then I feel the overwhelming urge to quit and restart a Jaal romancing Scott. I don't think I've even gotten a Sara off Eos even yet-beyond the one run where I was going to romance Jaal with her before the patch was a thing...she got pretty far-but nowhere near the end and nowhere near the lake! Honestly, the other options just feel so meh-at this point. I do feel like I should make a Sara run-but at the end of the day the game only works for me with Jaal as an incentive to keep playing. I really have no desire to romance Jaal with Sara. |

so true. Jaal oddly joins the team last, but he really feels essential for every main quest. It really feels like it's his story as much as Ryder's. I don't think they could top his content-and yet he never felt like they were shoving him into the frame if you wanted to take others. I wish they could do that with whoever it is they pick as their female lead. If you know what I mean. |

I finally did the Jaal romance and is so cute and fluffy indeed! I was going to run this Ryder on other romances like Vetra cuz I feel she is a nice gal but I just can't anymore lol. Now I want to do a canon run of sorts but idk which romance will I make my more canon now. I love Reyes, but Jaal is so cute and I love gil but I hate his content sigh. Its like I want a little bit of each 3 in one XD.

It's fucking offensive how we had to wait 3 months longer to have him as an option, and not once have they used his m/m romance on social media, but still push the straight version like it was the only romance in Andromeda.

I dont remember whatever lol fuck them  yeah, not shitting in the f/m side of the romance ofc but it's so disheartening how they always forget about us, and only use Sera or Dorian as token characters to show "how inclusive they are", the rest is straight content even though most of their queer characters and romances are bi but the s/s side is always ignored and forgotten, it's ... disappointing. |

It wouldn't surprise me if Weekes forgot Jaal was even a bi option considering how long it took to get his bi path returned to him. If it wasn't for the #makejaalbi movement and outrage, and it was left up to the devs m/m would have been left with the (once again) promiscuous shady bisexual, and the gay guy in the hold (again) whose entire romance arc is about his shitty 'best friend' trying to force him into having a baby. Did they ever fix the end cutscene or do you still get screwed over the end kiss if you didn't agree to have the baby? I know ME is a different part of Bioware to DA generally, but given the issues same sex romances in DAI also had, I find it hard to be anything but worried over DA4, especially with Weekes taking the helm and the above tweets.  |

It's all still just as lackluster and devoid of any content that isn't about Jill's ovaries. Sad since Gil on paper isn't a bad character idea-just they did nothing with him and made his whole story arc about Jill instead. |

Cheers both! Always makes me smile knowing I did something good to brighten your romance experience more And yeah as Lee said, sadly they didn’t touch Gil at all. Neither Reyes except some minor animation tweak to the dance and thats It I think? And i guess visual upgrades to gil’s face hair but thats like game universal update. But yeah yikes on that post. I saw another person messaged him directly disappointed. His answer isn’t the best. Honestly affer I saw Laidlaw left and even Gaider despite my disagreements to his work, has me worried what’s next. That and Anthem didn’t exactly had much lgbt npcs at least not as relevant. They just need to like look at swtor for example and see the bi characters there in action as m/m l/l, what do they have? They are just romances like the straight, no ridiculous side drama about their sexuality or just simply existing. And althlugh I still need to play DA2 I imagine it was the same sort of ish way. Doesn’t mean we don’f want drama on the companion, we just don’t want it involve his sexuality as a problem again. |

Scottphoto it would be nice if we could get more romances made without sexuality being a focus for sure. Especially in a male/male-exclusive character, but I do prefer the all bi route since it's the best chance for everyone to get a story relevant romance. Either way-I really hope we have another romantic male option in a game soon-dragon age or something else! Jaal so far is the closest to perfect I've seen a romance written for m/m, and the animations were pretty close to perfect even. I would love it if this would be the new bar to meet. I mean they don't always have to be as story central as Jaal even-but there's no reason why we can't have a romance that is as well done on all levels. (plus BioWare really needs to get over their fear of guys holding hands when they walk together!)

I hope everyone has a good day today. It's a bit bittersweet seeing people celebrate N7 day this year. I don't know if it's cause it's been so long since I played, but lately when I think of playing the games I just dry up into a big pile of salt.
Last time I got a big urge I just watched my youtube video of the full Jaal romance. It scratched the itch.
Either way, as mad as I may get at BioWare, I still have crazy love for my Jaal. I also have much respect for Cathleen Rootsaert and her work with Jaal and Kaidan both!

I've been feeling a bit down lately and I'm not sure exactly why. So on a whim I went back to the BSN board and revisited some ages-old Jaal Defense Squad posts in Andromeda's pre-patch 1.08 era, and then fast forwarded to June 2017 and bathed in their salty homophobe tears all over again. That made me feel better!  As an aside, it's still hilarious to me how a number of their accounts were deleted shortly thereafter; they had spent months making complete jackasses out of themselves and they knew it -- slinking away from the Jaal community in utter shame was their great reward!  And She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named forcing her grin, pretending to be so damn happy for us in a desperate attempt to save face after having been such a gargantuan, unrepentant asshole for so long was the sweetest icing on the cake. (She, too, eventually took her ball and went home. Bye, Felicia!) |
