It would be a nice change of pace if we were more relatively normal and not some "chosen one".

It would be a nice change of pace if we were more relatively normal and not some "chosen one". I think in every Elder Scrolls game they make you a prophesied hero, because everything that has happened or will happen (at least everything important), is written in the Elder Scrolls, so there's no escaping it, lol. But as far as I know, no other game in the series has given you extra powers like being Dragonborn in Skyrim.

IMO the Chosen One narrative can get boring fast, and that goes double in an open world game like the Elder Scrolls. I'm all for going back to playing normal people again. Edit: Whoops, Aurora beat me to it.

I did like a few of the shouts, but most shouts have spell equivalents, so it seemed redundant at times.

Thing is, while I thought Skyrim was an interesting twist as a one-off, I'm always gonna like games more if you can play them as normal people instead of being Born Special. In Oblivion the PC was a pawn of fate, but that boiled down to standing in a specific jail cell at just the right moment. That's more up my alley, personally.

Well there isn't really a "back" to go to, I think Daggerfall is really the only TES game where your character isn't divined to do the Main Quest but you also achieve CHIM and cause the Warp of the West so you're still an extremely important historical character lol

Anyone else hope they return the ability to craft your own spells? If they don't i really hope they properly balance magic the next time around. Destruction was pretty sad in Skyrim. Although one of my biggest annoyances in Oblivion was that you couldn't delete obsolete spells from your spellbook, Every time i crafted a better version of an old spell i had to scroll past it. I liked having my custom spellbook in the olden days is i guess what i'm getting at.

I'm kind of hoping for either Elsweyr or Black Marsh as the setting for the next game. But the problem is that I don't think they would be able to do those provinces justice, especially regarding all the different types of Khajiit (they already screwed up with the "Senche" in ESO, (yeah, different studio but still)) and Argonians that should be there respectively according to the lore. But if they managed to pull that off, it would be pretty amazing.

For the next Elder Scrolls game, would you guys rather have super-speshul powers again, or be relatively normal, like in past games? I use the Alternative Start mod religiously now; I hate being Dragonborn. So definitely relatively normal. It allows for more role-playing possibilities. Honestly Skyrim has become a fantasy SIM for me basically >.>

But if they managed to pull that off, it would be pretty amazing. Both locations would be really awesome although I suspect Bethesda devs might consider it a bit too focused on the 'beast' races of Tamriel. My personal prediction is the next Elder Scrolls will take place in either Valenwood, Summerset Isles or Hammerfell. I've added Hammerfell because it became independent from the Empire while also resisting the Aldmeri Dominion's attempt at outright conquest and as such might be an interesting take on the lore (Let the Empire die for good and replace it with something born in Hammerfell or does it return to the Empire/Aldmeri Dominion). --- If it is one of those two I hope it to be Elsweyr, the combination of both deserts and tropical forests would be diametrically opposed to the cold landscapes of Skyrim. And of course catpeople. Lots of catpeople.

It makes more sense with the faction starts; I always thought how it was weird how my Dragonborn hero was also in the Dark Brotherhood as a serial-killing assassin, and a blood sucking vampire in Dawngaurd . I'd rather have multiple "mini" characters this way.

www.youtube.com/user/seanzoz/playlistsHe has some really funny animated parodies for Skyrim and Fallout 4 (not finished yet). If you haven't played they might not be so funny, but for the players some of the gags are hysterical (rofl)

I'm replaying my canon Dragonborn again (fortunately I kept a save at the beginning of the game, I wish I would have done this with my canon Warden T_T) since I found the mod that let you have five followers I want to make a decent story with my Scooby Gang if that makes sense, it's one of the things that I love about Bioware games (or shows like Buffy or Lost Girl) and with this mod I can build a decent team of friends. Besides Rhaliel, my breton -mostly mage- Dragonborn These are my Scooby Gang: 1 - Vilkas: Two-handed warrior and human Nord werewolf. Lawful good. He wants to get rid of his curse, but understands that it doesnt matter if he has Rhaliel by his side and his werewolf mojo can be useful to fight against the recent menace. 2 - Inigo: Archer Khajiit. Neutral good. He wants to repay Rhaliel for trying to kill him in the past, at least that's what he thinks, being an addicted to skooma has side effects. 3 - Serana: Vampire. Neutral good. She wants to stop the evil plans of her villainous father. She finds in the Dragonborn a true friend and a worthy ally. 4 - Durak: Vampire hunter and Orsimer ranger. Lawful good. He swore to avenge the death of his two wives and his crossbow is hungry of bloodsucker's hearts. Later joins the Dragonborn because he doesn't trust Serana and wants to keep an eye on her. He will slowly realise that being a vampire doesn't always make you a monster. 5 - Jenassa: Dual Wielding Dunmer mercenary. True Neutral. Her past is a mystery and the Dragonborn hired her services despite her shadowy nature and lack of scruples. It's always good when a dangerous weapon is in the right hands and why not, maybe some kind of redemption is in her future. Notable mentions: 1 - Lydia: Sword and shield human Nord warrior. Lawful good. Housecarl of the Dragonborn's home in Whiterun. She is loyal to her Thane and she is really kind to Chases-Starlight and keep her safe. 2 - Chases-Starlight: Argonian and Rhaliel and Vilkas adopted daughter. When the Dragonborn came to the Windhelm docks, it was the best day of her life, finding finally a family and true home. 3 - Meeko: When this stray dog guided the Dragonborn to his deceased owner in his bed, it was impossible for him to abandon him in the cold roads. He found a family and Chases-Starlight is his best friend. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I tried to build my gang with characters that I really like, three men and three women and a good mix of different races and monsters. I must say that the only one that I don't know is Jenassa, and for my fifth member I wanted a female character and her questionable and amoral nature makes her excellent to the team. Jenassa and Vilkas appearance are mods of course. And Inigo and Chases-Starlight are original mod characters. Chases-Starlight is great because she's an argonian kid and I hate human kids =P and Inigo is the prettiest blue cat I've ever seen, his story is fun for what I've seen and he speaks like Zevran.

Considering Skyrim will be ported and resold for the next 100 years, I'm not sure when we'll get another one, but if we do I'm hoping for them to expand on the follower improvements they made in Fallout 4.
I love being able to quest with a group in an RPG, partially in an open world RPG as it makes the open world less empty but in Skyrim they aren't really fleshed out enough to hold my attention throughout the million hours of Skyrim. Even Serana.

I'm waiting for goty/ultimate edition to buy it but I'm totally romancing Hancock and Piper seems to be very cool, Danse is hot but I know he doesnt get along with Hancock and I dont want my team to be a sausage party If you're on PC, you should try the mod, I mean it's not even a 2/10 of Bioware content and I headcanon too much XD but it's great regardless!!

You can only have one follower at a time in FO4, which bothers me, but there is a mod that gives you the ability to have both Dogmeat and another follower. It is the one big issue I have with the follower system in FO4, everything else is a vast improvement over any other Bethesda game; romances, follower quests, conversations, perks etc... If you are worried about Hancock and Danse not getting along, you can have them hang out at different settlements. That is what I did with Strong, just left him chilling by himself and all the other followers were at the same settlement. Not sure I can go back to Skyrim again quite yet, I have so many other games on my list but I'll check the mod out eventually.

A human, a ghoul and a dog is a good gang but tiny at least in ME they let you having two squadmates, you keep your LI and another friend to change it for another whenever you want, but if they let you having just one follower I'll keep Hancock because of his LI status forever (except when I'll do other followers's quests I guess?) I dont know if the drama with Hancock and Danse works in the story or they are just cruel to each other, if it works I'm all for drama so you can keep all the followers in one place too? (something like the camp in DAO or Normandy in ME?) Thank you!

Thank you! when you get a new follower or when changing the follower you currently have for a different one you get to pick the settlement that they go to to wait for you or they can wait for you at their 'home base' ie the place where you found them. You can send them to separate places or send them all to the same place so you've got a hub or main base for yourself. That is what I did. Made one of my settlements my main base and kept all my stuff and my favourite followers there. I didn't notice any strife between Danse and Hancock but then again I didn't like Danse to I left him on the brotherhoods blimp for a lot of the time.
