Cassandra Pentaghast, Seeker, Right Hand of the Divine, lover of smut, puncher of bears. Feel free to discuss and worship her glorious cheekbones in here.

Cassandra is the best, I love her disgusting noises more than anything else. Also the best compilation of them all!

Ugh, perfect, perfect queen Cassandra...I'll never stop being every grain of salt in the galaxy that she wasn't an F/F option. Especially since it could have been a bit of A Gay Thing, as BioWare clearly likes to do with M/M options. Cassandra dreamed of passion and to be swept off her feet and all that stereotypical romance fluff...realizing she could still have all of those things with–and that she wanted them with–GASP...a woman would have been a wonderful plot point. BUT NOO OOOOOO CAN'T HAVE THAT

BUT NOO OOOOOO CAN'T HAVE THAT {Spoiler} sourceI am so with you. I know we all have our Bioware M/F salt, the one that got away... and Cassandra is totally that for me. There is no doubt that she would have been my favorite Bioware romance of all time and I pined so damn hard. I pined from dragon age 2 till the release. Then she "No Homo"'s you half way through the game. Those boys complained about her the whole time I was in mourning... Also her speech to you on the ramparts is actually so beautiful and perfect for a gay relationship.

Yep...it kills me how BW often panders to straight GamerBros, but not in the way straight GamerBros want, so there's complaining all around. And I know I can't complain too much since Liara, Leliana, and Isabela are great characters, plot relevant, and the holy trinity of love interests. Cassandra just seems like a good example of the way BioWare can confound–their insistence that m/m usually is all about being gay while actual lesbian f/f never is. It's a bit of a blind spot or something, I don't know. It ties into the whole gay KISA notion...it just never occurs to the BW writing staff that that could actually, like, be a thing.

I'm still pinning for Cassandra but just can't bring myself to roll a male Inquisitor. I got into alot of arguments with people on the old BSN before the DA:I was released about why it would be 100% possible for Cass to be gay or bisexual and then I got crushed. I'm pleased to discover that I'm not the only one who is still salty. Oh Cass, I will always love you.

I also did two pt trying to romance her as a man. I only finished my male dwarf/Cassandra pt and it wasn't so bad but like Crimson said it isn't the same.

The only time I've been okay with rolling a male to romance a female character was in KotOR, because 1) the PC is mute and 2) there was a PC with a mullet, so I could reasonably pretend that Revan was an old school space lez. I do love the f!Inquisitor friendship route with Cassandra, but those ever-complaining straight gamerbro dummies really don't know how good they have it with her. (surprise surprise)

The only person I ever romanced as a male character and enjoyed was Morrigan.

I like her a bunch, and she is the second closest follower to my male Inquisitor. Her friendship arc is pretty great. Sadly, her romance type just isn't for me, and I don't really want to roll another male Inquisitor (my canon guy belongs to Dorian).

I was mostly countering that argument that because she gave a guy a kiss on the cheek in 'Dawn of the Seeker' she is straight. My counter argument was simple a) it's not a romantic kiss & b) bisexuality is a thing. A simple argument that I had to make 100's over because some straight guys think every woman must fancy them and then most of those same people complained about her romance once the game was released. *sigh*
