Right now I'm really into Rat Queens. Out of the 5 Rat Queens, one is a lesbian, one is bi, and one is a trans woman. Young Avengers is also amazing. I've only read a little Ms Marvel, but I really like it so far. Harley Quinn has its ups and downs, but it's still my one of my favorites. I know Young Liars club also has LGBT characters, but I don't know how good the story or representation is because I quit early. (Too gruesome for me.) |

I feel like my list of titles isn't really long enough to make such topic Oh man, I love LGBT comics. Haven't read that many though. Right now I'm really into Rat Queens. Out of the 5 Rat Queens, one is a lesbian, one is bi, and one is a trans woman. Young Avengers is also amazing. I've only read a little Ms Marvel, but I really like it so far. I just recently read that the new companion on Doctor Who is an out lesbian. I sort of fell off watching the show for various reasons, but that's a nice development.

I'm watching Sailor Moon Crystal, and uh, Usagi's pretty bi. I know there is a canon lesbian couple in the series, too. In case anyone's up for some sparkly shoujo wlw anime Oh yeah, I remember suspecting there was something between Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune when I watched Sailor Moon as a kid. I had no idea the American English dub in the early 2000s actually changed their relationship in the original Japanese version from lovers. They were made cousins in the dub. It's PR. 2 actors said she didn't want to and her ftwd schedule proved they were right - she was available to be a part of entire s4. Plus, her expressions on Paley last year... I'll provide gifs once I come back home. Also, Jason wished for her character to die on FTWD after he killed her in t100. And apparently he's a total dipshit and did the same thing to the actor playing Lincoln. Was it the first time Clarke and Lexa slept together? God it was so long ago; I can't remember! They were definitely already in love, and I think a couple? Had definitely kissed. Honestly... it was heartbreaking, but if you push all the real world drama aside (the actor being made to leave, the bury your gays trope) it hit me in the feels and so I kind of liked it? Sometimes that's just what happens. I'll put rest in spoilers... Like even though she's this immensely powerful and wise leader, all it took was a stray bullet to cause everything to come crashing down. This happens in real life, too... we are all mortal, and sometimes it's only one person holding up an entire idea. When Lexa fell, everything went to shit, and it has been interesting watching that fallout, both on a macro level as well as a personal level for Clarke and those who were close to Lexa. |

Feel like it's a step towards the right direction but a bit token-y, now if only the weaselly guy was gay or they have a gay character or something. I agree on all accounts; I would sure love to see a male bi or gay character on SyFy ... it's like the television version of gamer bro-type video games. I remember of BSG they revealed the one guy was gay but only off screen, in like a comic or something. Of course that show aired quite a long time ago. I feel like if new gal (seriously do not know her name; the number names are so much easier to remember) has a thing with Two it will be very male gaze-y but there aren't exactly many other options. I do feel like she is less of a sexual object than Two or Android; she's more like Five. They're girls/women, and they're cool, or smart, or tough, and sure they're pretty, but they don't exist to let the straight male audience fap. (And I like Two and Android) |

I feel you vertigomez . I rarely ship people who end up together. I am still over here shipping Grace and Frankie. (Mostly because 9 to 5 is my favorite movie... Lily Tomlin  . But also because it is nice to think you can still find someone special when you are older.) I still think Grace and Frankie have a better shot of getting together then those two. Mostly because the show is already very gay (with their two ex husbands in a relationship), has a big LGBT following, plus it is a Netflix show and not on basic cable. @artemis I think it was Felix Gaeta that was bisexual in BSG. It was revealed in webisodes. |
