It doesn't matter what is in the Witcher BOOKS, because we're talking about CDPR, and how they handled the games.
Remember that CDPR is a Polish studio, and their civil rights record ain't exactly spotless. As recently as 2013, a poll found that an overwhelming majority of polish people oppose same-sex marriage and adoption, and a lesser majority oppose public displays of affection between same-sex couples, and consider the lifestyle "unnatural".
The best we are likely to see from them, if anything, is similar content to the Witcher 3. A minor character with a tragic backstory who we never see again.

I...honestly think you're being unfair toward CDPR saying they are dudebro company. Yeah, sure, The Witcher seems like a dudebro dream games, but they are so much more. And they are written and made to be sequels to book saga (that was started in 1992) that just happens to have straight male protagonist. They are not just about Geralt, but also how horrible humans can be, about political intrigue and about pure awesomeness that is Ciri (who was totally interested in another girl in one of the books  ) And maybe I'm just blind to The Witcher game series faults because I love the books. Also why I say wait for Cyberpunk. If Cyberpunk 2077 shows the same dudebro tendencies The Witcher did, I will be right there with you saying CDPR is indeed company of dudebros for dudebros. Well, I'm right with you. Even tho Geralt annoyed me more than once in the books, I still love the Witcher games. They have so much more to offer if people could put aside their prejudice and give it a chance. Yes, you can play as dudebro who fucks lots of women, but only if YOU choose to do so. In Poland homosexuality during these years was a taboo topic and when mentioned, a controversy or any shit like that. CDPR couldn't just suddenly change Geralt's gender and his sexual orientation, that would be ridiculous. Do you really think I'm happy by playing yet another hetero dude that sleeps with women? No. I'd rather to play as a woman, Ciri no less. But Geralt was always the main characters in the books, so unfortunately, it was a logical choice for CDPR to create games about HIM. I also live in Poland, you can post statistics, but it's not as bad as you described in your previous post. People that oppose same sex marriages, same sex couples or anything like that are mostly old bigots. We're not so proggressive, sadly, as other Countries, but we're trying. After WWII we struggled for a long time and we still do. Now we have the most fucked up party that is in control atm and is ruining our Country even more. We have some extremists, racists, homophobes, but every Country got those. But really, don't throw CDPR into the bag with those people. |

For what it's worth, I do own Witcher 3, and I have liked a fair amount of what I played so far. My favourite thing in the game is Gwent, though. I'm gonna start the game over just so I can get the Dandelion card, lol. |

While I really dislike Geralt in a fair amount of situations ( in books even more ), I did enjoy Witcher. Aside from his character, W3 had some amazing storylines there. Like the Bloody Baron and my favourite was with Ladies of the Woods. And side quests were done really well. |

I almost always play as a mage, regardless race, and also in ME series I like to play as Adept/Vanguard the most  Adept powers seem a little unimpressive in ME:A The lack of Warp (or reave) seemed to have killed my interest in a pure adept. Sentinel is fun though! Gotta say I disagree here. MEA was some of the most fun I had with a pure adept loadout. The pull & throw combo was some of the most fun I've had in an ME game combat wise. Lance is a nice substitute for warp and backlash works much better than it did in ME3. |

And it's extremely generous to say "Oh because I like them I don't think they're dudebro." I'm not saying you shouldn't like the Witcher games or w/e; just be more self-aware. Being able to fuck, flirt, etc with various barbie-doll-looking women as a grizzled straight dude isn't out of some genuine spark of genius. It's out of them catering to a certain demographic, which are mostly made up of dudebros. I'm not saying pandering or catering is bad, just that they're very aware of who their target demographic is. Give them a pass on it or not, but personally I hope Cyberpunk 2077, if just as dudebro, ends up a terrible game. If only to show that "dudebro pandering" games can be just as shit as what they call "SJW pandering" games. |

Just got through watching the Gil romance on youtube (having the baby style) fuck that was depressing. I don't think BioWare will ever really understand why that version of the romance is so horrific to me.

I don't think BioWare will ever really understand why that version of the romance is so horrific to me. They honestly don't understand. It is infuriating.
