Yessss. I was wondering when someone was going to make this thread.  I love this character. Let me just tell you guys... My Shep is alive when Liara comes back to Earth. Grunt gets a bunch of blue sisters and a pretty blue step-mom. and no one can tell me otherwise.LotSB is my favorite part of the ME trilogy. I.LOVE.THAT.KISS. One of my favorite game moments.   |

The only thing I don't like about this romance is that it takes FOREVER to lock it in during ME3, which is apparently because new players can start a romance with her. But in the meta game, it's like...didn't we lock this in during LotSB (all-time best DLC 4ever)? No? Okay, how about at Mars. No? Maybe in Liara's cabin? No? When we were hanging out on the Citadel and Liara was all "isn't it great being just friends?" I really wanted to answer with some kind of ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?
And a Shepard who romanced Liara HAS to live no matter the ending chosen because it would be too crappy to die on her, promise you'll always come back, and then die on her again. So say we all.

Mid-game Shep is like...  "Friendship doesn't cut it for me anymore." I also hated the lack of interaction with her in two but LotSB made up for it for sure.  Source for both |

Completely agree. At the end of LotSB, their relationship was locked in and then a mere 6 months later Shep has to tell Liara like three times that she wants to be with her. I get that BioWare wanted to allow new players to romance her or give players plenty of chances to break up with her if they wanted to romance a new ME3 LI, but bloody hell they went from talking about blue babies to Shep having to reassure Liara multiple times that she is still into her 6 months later. She was less unsure of Sheps affection for her after Shep had been dead for two years. |
