Fuck syfy and their shitty streaming. I hope amazon or netflix gets it. As long as someone does. I don't think I can cope with yet another of my favourite shows being cut off in its prime. |

The Doctor I watched it live via a Youtube TV trial. The commercials just reminded me why SyFy's decision to make this their main revenue stream was such a bad move. Thoughts on S3E6 It was a great episode. Bobbie vs. the hybrid aka the obligatory seasonal killing of Elias Toufexis, the Agatha King sequence, Prax reuniting with Mei, Amos giving Strickland exactly what he deserves, that ending... So good. Weirdly enough, when Bobbie was fighting the hybrid I was getting Dead Space flashbacks. "Aim for the limbs, Bobbie! Blow its legs off first!" Man, the protomolecule construct rising from Venus was almost exactly how I imagined it when I read the book. It's such a shame that the TV series is almost certainly going to end with this season, given how the books' overarching story has really only just begun. Seriously, the books are great. Some days I feel like a missionary.

Some days I feel like a missionary. finally a "win"-ish for the team, didn't finish reading all the books so idk if something shitty is going to happen soon, that win was a bit too clean, it prob will tbh. ugh i'm so sad for Cotyar tho  The music/score was so on point this episode esp the last few minutes I'm so annoyed a 100% ratings (for this season anyway) on Rotten Tomatoes show got cancelled. |

Jeff Bezos has reportedly told Amazon Studios to find a "Game of Thrones" equivalent for their streaming service, and The Expanse could be an excellent fit if marketed properly.
If Amazon does pick it up, I really hope that they can get the international distribution rights sorted out.

I just watched S3E7: Delta-V. As a book fan, this season has yet to disappoint me. If you're a show-only watcher, trust me - you really want to go into this one as blind as possible. So, spoilers: No seriously, spoilers. And that, my friends, is why inertial dampeners are a thing in so many sci-fi universes. Man, they've really upped the gore this season; Maneo's death by 99+ G deceleration was almost exactly like it was in the book. If they release the OST for Season 3, I hope they include the Belterized versions of Highway Star and All By Myself that played this episode. I completely approve of Amos' full beard. Finally, we get the return of Miller! I'm guessing that Thomas Jane filmed his part on a green screen and they added him in later to help create a sense that he isn't all there. Book 3: Abaddon's Gate Spoilers They've already managed to get through about a quarter of Abaddon's Gate and I don't feel like anything's really been lost. A couple characters have been condensed and a few plotlines have been moved around, but it doesn't feel rushed.
They picked a great actress for Melba, at least in terms of appearance - she definitely looks like she could be Julie's younger sister.
Edit (more spoilers): I thought it was funny that they had both the male and female journalists hit on Amos. Everybody wants a piece of that studly sociopathic mechanic. Also, I love this response from the authors on twitter:  |

I very recently got caught up. Spoilers up to S3E9: I like how they're making the recent protomolecule shenanigans spooky. Holden seeing a ghost, the perpetually dim and red-accented mood lighting, and the mystery of the Ring and the place beyond it make the Roci's storyline feel almost like a haunted house story.
It's really good to have Miller back.
Holden, Miller, Alex, and Amos are providing so much fuel for reaction gifs lately. |
