I'm downloading the ep but I dont know if I want to watch it, that would mean 2 WEEKS for the season finale but people are awful and I know that I'm going to be spoiled even more
also I'm not ready to see the spoiler that I know happening
Is it just me, or does it feel like they're setting up Varys to betray Dany at some point?
Not a fan of Sansa v Arya; it may have been an unrealistic hope, but was hoping that they'd be able to see more eye to eye now than they did back in Season 1. I just hope LF goes down before he can cause any more lasting damage to the Stark family.
I'm happy to see Gendry back, and swinging a hammer this time. I did kinda like him better with the longer hair, though.
The annulment reveal felt strangely clean and convenient. I just hope they don't milk it for drama.
Is anyone else a little thrown off by the...apparent lack of planning involved with the wight hunt? It sounds like they're just going to walk north and hope they run into a wight without also running into the massive army of the dead.
Seven men went beyond the wall, and I get a feeling that less than seven will return. My money's on Jorah or Gendry biting it.
Not keen on seeing Littlefinger doing what he does best, again, stirring the pot to advance his own interests. More so cos it's at the expense of my favourite House! Dude needs to get stabbed badly. That note was Sansa's hand true but not her words, Cersei's. Hopefully Arya has reached this conclusion and that she's actually setting Littlefinger up instead. Perhaps instead of Jaime being the obvious choice to kill Cersei to fulfill the prophecy it will be Arya wearing his face. That would be cool and she can at least cross her off the list. Also don't believe she's preggo, think it's just another way to keep Jaime under her thumb.
Cool to see Gendry wielding his Pop's weapon of choice. Dany is due a 3rd betrayal, seen some think Missandei will be the one to betray her, Vary's seems an obvious choice but, who knows.
As I knew, I'm dry because of Viserion's death. I want the fucker death. How the fuck do you kill a dragon zombie if they can not be killed with fire? maybe Cersei's new toy?
I dont like this Arya vs Sansa, and I love Arya, she's one of my favs, but in this episode she has been super annoying, sorry dear but not everyone have a warrior inside, there are so many ways to be strong and yours is not the only way. I'm still hoping this is Arya playing Littlefinger's game and finally get Needle'd that bitch.
The ultimate ship .... I dont like it, too typical for me, but I'm so heartbroken that I dont care, Dany needs moral support right now and Jon gave it to her. Cute scene, WE FIGHT TOGETHER. Now Dany has a reason to hate the army of the dead and the Night King, and I hope that it will be epic when that bastard dies. Dany have to teach Fire Blast to Drogon and Rhaegal though.
GOD TORMUND LIKES COCKS, BISEXUAL ICON lol Let's see how much he manages to survive after this revelation, bury your bi trope is watching him.

Holy shit! How did I not know that this thread is here!?! I'm gutted that I've missed talking about my favorite show with my favorite forumites!
Okay, too much to catch up on for right this moment, but expect a Banshee level multi-quote coming once I get through the past 22 pages. In the meantime, we are all in agreement that Olenna Tyrell (and Diana Rigg) is the highlight of every scene, right?

I haven't watched the whole Episode yet, but a clip of Sansa and Arya popped up on youtube. Seriously what the hell is Arya's problem. I love her, she's my favorite surviving character atm, but this is just bull. I still can't imagine her outright betraying Sansa (unless there's a lot more to the interaction than the 50 second clip i saw). But I will lose it if the show kills either of them off... LOSE IT!
Still working through the thread. But I want to ask -- Since HBO is rumored to be exploring a prequel series for when this one ends, which era do you want to see?
I imagine there are five options based on the lore:
* Aegon's Conquest * The Faith Uprising * Dance of the Dragons * The Blackfyre Rebellions * Robert's Rebellion
My biggest hope is Aegon's Conquest because I think it would be killer to see Aegon. And the founding of a bunch of noble houses (like Tyrell and Tully). And the ending of a bunch of noble houses we've never heard of in the show (like Hoar and Durrandon). And I think Visenya has the makings of being the next Cersei if they cast her right. Just a wickedly ruthless and power hungry woman who we will love to hate.
But I think that the Faith Uprising (Tyana of the Tower is just BEGGING to be on screen) and the Dance of the Dragons (a dragon filled Targaryen civil war) have a ton of potential as well.
The one I would LEAST want to see would be Robert's Rebellion. Yawn.

You may like this statement from GRRM's blog then:
I can't tell you what the shows will be about (well, I could, but I won't), but I will tell you a couple of things they WON'T be. Which will disappoint some of you, sure, but better to do that now than later, I think.
We're not doing Dunk & Egg. Eventually, sure, I'd love that, and so would many of you. But I've only written and published three novellas to date, and there are at least seven or eight or ten more I want to write. We all know how slow I am, and how fast a television show can move. I don't want to repeat what happened with GAME OF THRONES itself, where the show gets ahead of the books. When the day comes that I've finished telling all my tales of Dunk & Egg, then we'll do a tv show about them... but that day is still a long ways off.
We're not doing Robert's Rebellion either. I know thousands of you want that, I know there's a petition... but by the time I finish writing A SONG OF ICE & FIRE, you will know every important thing that happened in Robert's Rebellion. There would be no surprises or revelations left in such a show, just the acting out of conflicts whose resolutions you already know. That's not a story I want to tell just now; it would feel too much like a twice-told tale.
If they get a big budget, I could see them doing Aegon's conquest or the Dance of Dragons. I'd love to see the Field of Fire on screen.

I doubt we'd see the Dance of the Dragons because of the CGI costs. We rarely see more than one dragon at all in the current show.
I'd be down for the conquest or Robert's Rebellion, although I think I recall them saying it wouldn't be the rebellion.
