If anyone is a fan of Vampire films, I've been watching Vampire Reviews on YouTube. She has been doing these reviews for a while but I've only just started watching them and they are fun as hell.
As a sample, her review of What we do in the Shadows

As a sample, her review of What we do in the Shadows I loved Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, 30 Days of Night, Nosferatu creeped me the fuck out, and I have Let the Right One In, on my to watch list on Netflix. As for the movie she's reviewing, heard great things, it's available on Netflix still, will have to check it out before it's gone. And speaking of Vampires, my Stephen King book, Salem's Lot arrived in the post, will have to get reading that soon also. The tv series adaptation of this book was pretty decent from what I've heard.

You have got to watch What we do in the shadows, it is one of the few Vampire films that is also a brilliant film and it's genuinely funny.

Is this still the best thread to talk about American Horror story in? It'll do anyway! lol!
Um too soon to know for sure, but it looks like this season will be all about the gore-and I tend to not like gore seasons. eh...we'll see.

I still have to get around to watching the opening ep of the new season tho. Also, hoping to see IT tomorrow!

As I understand it the first film is all the kids stuff from the book & the second is when all the cosmic horror starts. Basically they have split the book in half, so there would be a complete story in the first film.

So IT was fucking amazing. They got a real horror atmosphere and it felt like a horror version of stranger things. I didn't think they could make horror movies like this anymore.

I was extremely skeptical of the movie, and Skarsgard's Pennywise in particular, but everything I've heard since release is that the movie is fantastic, and Skarsgard nails it. Hopefully I'll be able to see it this weekend, but it also sounds like one of the few movies worth buying once it comes out on dvd.

It was real old school horror that focused on building up the atmosphere and not relying on jump scares. That alone made me love it.

Also, hoping to see IT tomorrow! since I heard there was going to be 2 movies for IT-I've been unsure if I should watch the first one in theater or not. Go see IT, don't argue with me, just do it. Without a doubt the best movie I've seen all year. Worth the ticket price, I want to watch it again! since I heard there was going to be 2 movies for IT-I've been unsure if I should watch the first one in theater or not. As I understand it the first film is all the kids stuff from the book & the second is when all the cosmic horror starts. Basically they have split the book in half, so there would be a complete story in the first film. Yup, this half you're following the Loser's Club circa 1988, the 2nd half it's the group all grown up dealing with IT as adults. Felt like Stand by Me with a killer clown, damn this movie is great! So IT was fucking amazing. They got a real horror atmosphere and it felt like a horror version of stranger things. I didn't think they could make horror movies like this anymore. IKR, and IT legit freaked me out at times, srsly menacing and psychotic, the 1990 version is Disney compared to this! xD Bloody Pennywise made me jump a few times. And all the Loser's Club kids were great, especially Richie, loved his smartass remarks and the gang bouncing off one another. Loved that they switched it up to them being kids in the late 80s so in part 2 it will be our time. Also and I'm sure this was intentional, the 1990 version, 27 years ago. This version 2017, IT comes out to feed every 27 years, clever. I have to read this book ASAP, I'm currently half way through The Shining but once I'm done, I'm getting stuck into IT. Gonna be ready for part 2. My sis read the book and she said this adaptation was pretty faithful to the book, both really really enjoyed it.

Read the book in highschool. It's an undertaking for sure, 1100+ pages. But they go over Pennywise lore that you never see in the miniseries, or would have seen in this movie... maybe the sequel? (how the Native Americans dealt with IT and such) Still one of my favorite King books though. Stranger Things 2 is still like two months away Also for those who weren't aware, it's because of this latest movie that stranger things even exists. Even more reason to love it. www.slashfilm.com/stranger-things-it-stephen-king/
