I'm so behind in modern horror flicks. I tend to cater my watching habits around other people I'm spending time with-and I don't have many good horror friends left in my area. OH well, I guess I'll have to start watching some alone sometime soon. I do that with mostly watching what other people want, too. I almost never watch TV or movies on my own. This is actually how I got into horror movies, because horror is popular in my social circle. lol I need to recruit horror movie friends I guess. That sounded less creepy in my head.

Where fans send em in awful movies to review.

Has anyone else seen It Comes at Night?
It was so good and made me feel so bad.
That last shot before the credits is going to stick with me for a long time.

Watched "Man Vs." On Netflix last night, cause i saw it was trending and was horror. WHAT A WASTE! Not of time really, but the first half of the movie was pretty good I thought, and then it just falls on it's face. The movie is about a wilderness survivalist being stalked by some unknown entity while he's filming an episode by himself. And during the time that i'm trying to figure out what it is, i'm enjoying the movie. Then the big reveal happens, and it becomes a completely different, and really terrible movie.

I watched " the Belko Experiment" yesterday. A bit of psychological experiment, a lot of slasher, and a good evening spent (ok, it's not a master piece, but I was wondering what I would do in this case ...

Netflix added new horror films, so time to watch things I haven't heard of, probably for a good reason.
Tonight's offering is Viral, which has the most random cast imaginable, including Analeigh Tipton and Machine Gun Kelly, for some reason. It's a zombie movie with a central focus on two twins in high school. You can tell one is the dorky one because she wears glasses and the other one is the rebellious one because she has blue tipped hair. Very sophisticated character building.

That's on netflix I take it? I will have to check it out. Good zombie movies are rare! Most of them are so bad. It is on Netflix! It's subtitled, though, if that's a problem. It's a Korean movie. I just know some people don't like subtitles. lol I'm also here to recommend Train to BusanIt made me scream and squirm in the movie theater. Also I bauled like a ninny at one point. The little girl in it is so heart wrenching. Too much to say about this film. See it! Perhaps my favorite Zombie flick.

I really hope this doesn't suck. The original scarred me as a child.

I'm guessing you mean the child orgy scene that apparently went on for 15 pgs? I've yet to read the book, it's on my to do list but I've been watching reviews people have done about the book. That scene sounds pretty fuckin' messed up yup Also, this movie will be split in two, first one dealing with the main cast fighting IT as children and the 2nd half fighting IT as adults. I'm hyped!

Season 7 of AHS premiers in 3 weeks (Sep 5). American Horror Story: Cult. I generally find cults creepy and fascinating, so yay. Though apparently a big inspiration for the plot of this season was the recent American Election...? Sad that Lily Rabe hasn't been confirmed to appear yet. Sister Mary Eunice is still my favorite villain/character from the show.

She's great, she's been a constant cast member since the show began, would be really bizarre not seeing her in the new season. I still miss Jessica Lange. Last season started great but ran outta steam near the end I felt, man I hated that ending too. Cult theme sounds interesting, would have been cool if they did a Jonestown or a Manson family like thing, American politics tho, that's different. Also share your interest in cults from the kooky to the murderous, seen many a documentary on em.

We had that first half that was pretty good, and the second half that was just terrible. I know not many horror things have good endings, but I like happy endings-probably why I loved coven so much. That and my obvious obsession over magic.

I liked it, introduced Kathy Bates & Angela Bassett into the anthology, loved the New Orleans setting and the horror history too. Oh Misty Day tho. My least favourite season would be Freakshow, I enjoyed parts but have yet to will myself to re-watch it.

The characters were all kind of unappealing for one reason or another. I mean it wasn't as bad as the second half of last season at least though.
