NEW INFINITY WAR TRAILER IS SO GOOD JUST FUCK ME UUUPPP I gotta admit that I wasn't that interested in Infinity War. I know that the entire MCU has been building up to it, but I couldn't image how it could be good with such a huge cast and massive build up BUT I'm onboard for anything with more Black Panther characters and the new trailer is amazing.

Also, my country is super racist, surprise surprise. People laughed at super random moments during the movie, and most responses I get, when I say I saw it, are a knowing smirk and "oh that black movie." I wish Okoye would hunt those idiots down

I'm almost as excited for Josh Brolin's Thanos as I am for Josh Brolin's Cable. Almost. Giant purple jelly bean can't beat my boy Nathan Summers though. I HATE when people laugh at things that aren't actually supposed to be funny because they just find the concept itself funny because they're racist assholes. Okoye would destroy them.

Also glad Gamora seems to be getting some narrative attention here as well. My only gripe is still Hawkeye missing in every promotion material, I know a lot are saying its because he has something special on his role, so hopefully its not getting killed off straight away on the film. Been there once with Xmen The Last Stand (Cyclops), not going through that again of losing my man. But seriously more Okoye please.

Just got back from seeing the Tomb Raider movie, it was alright. Wouldn't sit through it again tho. Everytime I heard that lame sprout nickname being used all I could think of was Brussels sprouts and how much I loathe them. Villain of the piece was meh, watered down version of Himiko disappointing and I fuckin' loved all of that crazy shit that happened on the island in the re-boot. This Lara didn't feel like Lara to me, alot of the movie was really dull and I didn't give a shit about any of the characters I was meant to care for. I'll stick to the games lol. Best movie I've seen this year is 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, fanfuckintastic. iTonya is a close second.

I think the next movie I'm watching is probably infinity war since I guess its coming out in April now? Haven't watched a single Avengers movie, never plan to either. Hard pass. Nothing else really out at the moment that I would pay to watch, just waiting on Lindsay Ellis' review of Ready Player One, heard someone referring to it as neckbeard Twilight. I'm excited for the cringe, heard the book it just awful.

Don't know about ready player one but I love the idea of it.

I've seen God's Own Country today. As a refresher, here's the trailer
Some parts got me squeamish (skinning a dead lamb), but generally, it's a gentle depiction of gay intimacy, and a good one at that. Of course, I cried, the movie is angsty af, but without spoiling too much, it's not one of those LGBT movies with a depressing ending. I recommend it.

Also, though I live in the city, it's set in my county of Yorkshire. The farm-based setting for the story shows how tough it can be for people who work the beautiful land through which I've taken many relaxing walks. Some of the angstiness you mention derives from that as opposed to just issues related to sexuality.

Spoilers I mean sure, but I think the farm and its state are a metaphor for John's emotional state and acceptance of his sexuality. That's why they show it getting better (and for example flowers blooming) as he opens up. At least that's how I interpreted it, especially with the ending in mind.

The two are clearly intertwined, but the setting is important. The film's name comes from the fact that Yorkshire is commonly called God's Own Count(r)y.

Finally watched Coco, cried like a hungry angry baby. Big gross sobbin. 10/10 would recommend I've been crying a lot in movies/video games/animes so I'm sure I'll cry like a baby in this one. Will watch soon.

Just saw Ready Player one, it was okay, fun to watch at least once. Bioware VR with X1 suit though, when?!! The key to save Bioware right there. In seriousness, the cameos were fun though not as videogamey as I was hoping for. Weird that Fem Shep was on trailer but didnt see her on the film. Tracer is on it pretty enough though! I love Ben Mendesolhn on the film like in Rogue One, I don't know why but I always find him a very fun villain, his avatar was my favorite as well.
EDIT: Apparently Mshep shows up but I didn't see it, but its on the club scene just a heads up if anyone is going to watch it soon, so you can keep your eyes peeled, apparently he danced like he does in game too but thats weird cuz I would have noticed that but ok.
