Just got back from watching BlacKkKlansman. Really stylish, with just the right balance of tension, politics and humour to make it really entertaining without compromising the message.

Saw Crazy Rich Asians on Friday. I got dragged along by a friend and figured I'd have to try not to fall asleep through what I predicted would be an uninteresting movie. Wow, was I wrong! Surprised the hell out of me that I liked it!

That Kin movie came out Friday. Didn't even realize it. Watching that tomorrow.

Just saw the movie searching. It was absolutely beautiful. Don't want to say anything about it.

I saw The Nun on Friday. I was expecting a scary movie. To me, that means taking a mostly empty train late at night, walking down dark streets and turning off the lights - during all of which I'd be on edge whenever I heard a sound. That didn't happen. I just sort of shrugged and felt no different than if I'd watched any other random movie.

I saw The Miseducation of Cameron Post this week, and oddly enough, despite being a very different film, I could say similar about it. Also both are set in the past but very relevant today.

I just want to say that Spy Who Dumped Me was criminally underrated.

I have Spider-Man: Homecoming on deck. It's been downloaded to my phone but I haven't had the chance to watch it. If I can stream it to my TV I might even watch it there.

Just got back from A Simple Favour. Someone on a film podcast I listened to called it "Gone Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", and that just about sums it up. Superficially it looks like it might be a thriller, but really it's a comedy that knows how silly the thriller bit it is and is just wonderfully entertaining.

Watching fahrenheit 11/9 on Sunday. Gotta support the leftist propoganda. Don't think I can. I've decided the lLeft and Right are nothing more than machines of propaganda. I can't support either in good conscience. I'm Moderate Left and often find myself a target from both sides.

Got tickets to a free Members' preview of Blindspotting at my local cinema. Another really good film with a well-judged blend of tense drama and lighter moments, with a serious political message. Definitely worth seeing.

Just got back from a screening. I really enjoyed it, though I thought it could have used a little more before she gets famous, and a little less after. I went to see it with my wife and my mum. Mum enjoyed it, too, but my wife really took against it. She was fidgeting in her seat and scowling. She was clearly in the minority as there was applause at the end in the screening we were in.

Just finished First Man.
I've got to say: you know someone has directed Ryan Gosling before when they don't give him a single line of dialogue in the last 15 minutes despite him being in like every frame lol.

vertigomez GIVE ME BILLY AND TEDDY AND I'LL BE FUCKING FIRST IN LINE Like seriously, this might be the only thing that would get me excited about superhero movies since Spiderman, Justice League, and the X-Men were on Fox Kids.
