0:40 Haha! This looks awesome. I like that there's 2 guys in the shot who drool over Gaunt (and many in the crowd as opposed to having only women)... (rofl) This game play looks great and was exactly what I was looking for from this game. The trailers looked great but I wasn't sure how the switching between characters would work but it is silky smooth and can be done mid combat without losing momentum. The Saints Row humour is and crazy combat is there too so I'm 100% onboard. female protagonist?? now if its true, all thats left is s/s romances to be confirmed Honestly I wouldn't hold your breathe on this. The dev was really adamant that a female protagonist was too much of a financial risk and was quite misogynist in that FAQ session. I have a hard time believing that they'd change their mind so close to launch without making it a big deal and doing a press announcement about "listening to fan feedback" I also wouldn't hold your breathe on s/s romances whether there is a female protagonist or not, in my experience someone who comes across as misogynist as the dev in the FAQ would never think of adding a m/m romance. Misogyny & homophobia often go hand in hand. I super hope I'm wrong though. The more games that are full of women & gay the better On Pillars of Eternity , it is one of those games that I wish I could enjoy but know the controls and camera would frustrate the hell out of me.

I really don't understand when people create rpg games and don't put the effort into cc, including the option to play as female.

2 of the most popular games this year had female protagonists Horizon and Nier. I really don't understand when people create rpg games and don't put the effort into cc, including the option to play as female. I know exactly why developers don't do this. They are still making all sorts of assumptions about the market for games based on old data and have yet to adapt to the new landscape. Old thinking is: Gamers are mostly young straight men/boys, these men don't like playing as women or gay men so no need to include a character creator or a m/m romance, just a big manly man & lots of strippers with jiggle physics. This is incorrect on so many levels, a huge number of women play games, average gamer is now in their 30's, many straight men do like roleplaying as women etc, etc, But old thinking reacts to protect itself. Any successful game with a female protagonist will be seen as a fluke rather than desire for change, armies of gamerbros stalk online forums & comment sections harass people not like them into silence and many game devs themselves grew up in this environment. So they take this attitude into the new games they are developing and the cycle continues. And as long as it's still possible to make money with this thinking then many devs & publishers will just continue on. It's the same with films, I bet there are executives in Warner Bros right now who are shocked Wonder Woman was successful and who are passing it off as a fluke. Which means they still won't give consider making films out of more female Superheroes (I'll believe Batgirl will happen when I see a trailer) and Marvel will stick with it's 2019 date for Captain Marvel. Old thinking prevails.
