Wait, it's not? Welp, they won't be getting my money. Stop calling things an RPG when you're taking away a crucial element of role playing. That's a bit unfair now. There are valid reasons for going with a more pre-defined character and not having a gender option does not mean that game can't be an RPG. It's just that far too few of the pre-defined characters (in RPGs and other genres) are women, unfortunately. Of course there are "valid reasons for going with a more pre-defined character and not having a gender option" that is completely up to the devs and what kind of story they want to tell, etc. However, I wouldn't call that game an RPG. Which is okay - not every game has to be an RPG, obviously. But if it's not my character, that I have created and assumed the role of, it's not really roleplaying. You're not roleplaying as a character. You're just... playing that character. You have minimal effect on their personality/character and how they react to the events around them, etc. You can shape their personality to an extent, but they are not your characters. I feel like that takes a lot from the roleplaying, to the point that it isn't roleplaying anymore. That's just me tho |

I wouldn't be so fixated on graphics. They always show something super duper cool and on the premiere we have one big fucking downgrade no matter what.
