Jaal and Kaidan are neck and neck for the boys! Liara and Vetra tied for the ladies! Good stuff. Love to see people vote on the romances they most enjoy. And, remember, if you've played MEA and the original trilogy, feel free to vote for one romance from each category. I havent played f/f romances yet, but I know Liara&FemShep and Vetra&Sara are going to be my favs, I mean they already are it makes me happy that those four romances are the most popular because they are my favs

As the only human gay option in Andromeda Gil could have been decent IF he: - was in the squad (but he`s hidden in the closet aka garage to not upset straight bros)
- took part in major cutscenes (seriously when ryder injured in the fight before last battle romanced Gil didn`t show up on the shore during cutscene and instead of him it were cora and pb who comfort me even though I didn`t interact with those two the whole game. I was already scared that those two would offer me to embrace eternity but, thank God, they didn`t)
- rejecting the kid issue should NOT be treated by game like a bad choice
- had unique face features (really I saw several Gil`s twins during game but no Cora twins, well technically I saw her twin in Dragon age Inquisition and her name was Cassandra)
The other two «gay» romances with bi men are ridiculous as always because game developers still think that bi men prefer women The other fail with bi men in video games is that they treat your male character like he is woman (oh well, they were intended for ladies in the first place so why am I surprised? That`s why I try to avoid bi characters like straight dudes avoid gay characters. With the exception of Kaidan). To sum up I think Technomancer`s Andrew option was the best and the second best option was Kaidan (despite that he`s bi character). PS Hope I didn’t hurt anyone`s feelings. And sorry for my English.

I totally understand what you're saying and agree, but i just want to say that Jaal's romance has been tweaked and altered appropriatly for male player characters, it's not a simple copy paste situation. Also i didn't feel like Jaal treated me like a woman. But yes he does have the BioWare trope of only showing attraction for women except for the male player character, you're right about that.

Yeah, I did romanced patched Jaal (though I`m not into aliens, but him being alien wasn’t my big problem about him). His mother still treats you like you`re a girl (like cooking stuff and she also asks you about human reproduction). Also in my country lazy translators didn`t translate his letter for male Ryder and copy paste female one and it uses female pronounces and it`s kinda lame and game breaking (next time I will set my game language to English only lol). Also I would prefer they patched Liam instead and I got the impression that Ryder liked him too (in naked cultural exchange scene it wasn`t Jaal who drew Ryder`s attention). But Liam will forever remain second Alistair

That`s why I try to avoid bi characters like straight dudes avoid gay characters. With the exception of Kaidan). can you explain this a little further? because the main problem with bi romances with guys is that they do "male gender roles", Kaidan can not grab Shepard's hands, Jaal can not do to Scott the swirling etc etc so if we are speaking with social gender roles in mind, the male PC always act like a man, or what this lame society thinks it is to act like a man. A lot of gay man want some chivalry and fluffy stuff, that is not something for straight women only. It's true that with bi romances, women almost always got more and better content, except for Bull and Jaal (not counting DA2 because of their overall fair treatment) Edit. Just read your last comment, are you from Spain? because we had the same problem with a female word. Also cooking is not something women exclusive, come on dude XD

It`s not Spain, it`s Russia and cooking stuff in our country considered to be girly even if men do cook.

I've updated my MEA vote from Scott/Reyes to Scott/Gil. My last run had me taking a closer look at Reyes and his motivations for the things he does. It makes me like Gil better. My vote is prone to change after I try out the Scott/Jaal romance. (Yes, I love hearing my Ryder's first name in the game so I stick with it.)

I ran with Liara in the fem shep run I still have to finish and haven't run a fem ryder but you all know who I'm picking. I think I'm about to go to Horizon in 2 with the vanguard fem shep...I think I need to finish another OT run now.
Lol its been a year and a half since I touched this file.

Anders is great with male Hawke! Never tried Fenris so I can't compare. What I do know is that I don't care for being with a demon-possessed terrorist, no matter how sweet he is throughout the rest of the game. Too bad they didn't stick with all-bi squadmates and allow male Hawke to romance Sebastian.

Too bad they didn't stick with all-bi squadmates and allow male Hawke to romance Sebastian. It really says a lot about them when even in the all-bisexual game...the Prince Charming romance is still straight... But I guess I can't complain too much because I'm perfectly happy with Anders...but oh, the drama there would have been if I had the option to be with Sebastian! My male Hawke would be so torn each time and it would hurt him having to choose between the two!

What makes the straight-Sebastian thing galling is that... This is a chaste romance! There is no romance scene! Literally, I don't even know if he and Hawke KISS on screen! So WHY is this locked only to female Hawke?
Honestly, though, I think Anders is one of the worst romances - I find him emotionally manipulative, he actually pulls the 'if you really care for me, you'll do this' card. In order to make Hawke do something that he wants, something that is questionable at best. After lying to them that what they were helping him collect were ingredients to help separate him from Justice. Plus the dehumanizing he engages in towards Fenris, purely because he refuses to accept that Fenris was abused by mages who were taking advantage of the power they had.
Just... He's legit a walking red flag to me, I can't play his romance at all.

To be fair, a lot of that stuff is what you find out towards the end and it's tied to his non-romance story and the fact that he's an abomination. Personally I find Sebastian's extreme religiosity based on little more than the fact that he's a spoilt minor prince whose life didn't work out how he'd wanted to be far more off-putting, at least when RPing a Hawke meeting him for the first time. In the end, all the romance options in that game are messed up to some degree or other. My canon Hawke is a female who falls for Isabela, and she has a load of problems all of her own. In fact, the two most stable companions are probably the two that you can't romance (what I would've given for an Aveline romance...)

What I do know is that I don't care for being with a demon-possessed terrorist, no matter how sweet he is throughout the rest of the game. Too bad they didn't stick with all-bi squadmates and allow male Hawke to romance Sebastian. Fenris' great as well, sometimes hard to chose between them. Both are passionate and fit my Hawkes. While with Anders I'm not able to do rivalry romance (with Anders, it's hardly a romance), with Fenris working well both type, it only depends, how I imagine my Hawke's temper. I would like Sebastian's romance too, but the cost is too big. I don't want to give him Anders' head for it. (It's different than with Alistair. Alistair executes Loghain himself if the Warden doesn't want to do... for example. Probably, it's just me, but I hated to kill Anders, never more! Not for him, not for anyone.) It really says a lot about them when even in the all-bisexual game...the Prince Charming romance is still straight... But I guess I can't complain too much because I'm perfectly happy with Anders...but oh, the drama there would have been if I had the option to be with Sebastian! Yes, it's still fucked, Prince Charming and KISA can't be gay/bi – I go further: I would like a royal marriage: Alistair would be been perfect for it... I still hope we'll see Dorian as archon, with the Inquisitor. Perhaps would not same as Alistair, but still would mean something to me.
