Haha Qunari and Humans beat Elves. Not qunari, elves are split between two options I can accept humans, my current character is human. That said, SIN'DOREI WILL PREVAIL! Sorry, wrong franchise

Doesn't mean musclehead is right Yeah but they can get pretty far by just smashing things. Your logic isn't very helpful when a big buff Qunari charges at you.

...Eh, I voted Elf. I always pick the elf-mage.
If you want to get into specifics, it's elf but as a circle mage as well.
So elf.
Elf elf elf elf elf.
Elf.
...With a Qunari love-interest.

I can't tell if this means over all three games? City Elf Origin was my favoritest of all time. If we're just talking which of the four races then I'd go with human or elf. Mostly because I don't feel like the dwarf or Qunari backgrounds were well implemented in the games.

It covers them all, pick your favourite race backstory to game. Bonus options for elves and dwarves cos nobody understands our love.

It is much more GoT noble than bland generic medieval fantasy noble that the Couslands are. Don't get me started with "pup." BUT TBH I prefer Trevelyan to the others in DAI. I liked that there was a little background depending on mage or fighter/rogue and to me it fits best in the narrative. Points to Lavellan for having the best war table sequence, but then IMO all Inquisitors should have been able to play through that since it involves the politics of Wycome. Inquisitors have meddled in local politics even if their family wasn't personally involved. I have no problems with dwarves and Qunari as backgrounds but didn't care for the underdeveloped ones in DAI. I think I would have preferred that there be a few backgrounds to choose from, regardless of race, and then a few race specific. Like, we could choose smuggler or mercenary and then decide what race we are. I wanted to be able to play a dwarf who wasn't a smuggler or a human who wasn't a noble.

I'd really love to be able to play a human that isn't nobility in DA for once. Even the Amell mage origin turned out to be secretly noble (you learn in DA2) I really love your idea of choosing a background and then race, that would be so ideal. My current Inquisitor (on hold while I play fo4 again) is a Lavellan and my headcanon is that he had been working with lyrium smugglers before being sent to the conclave by his Keeper. I still haven't voted in the poll here, though. In DA:O, I'm torn between mage (human) and Dalish. In Inquisition, I preferred Trevelyan as well, just because the whole lot centered so heavily on human institutions like the Chantry, and gave very little room for an Inquisitor who might be inclined to subvert those institutions.
